If you google "benzodiazepines Alzheimer's" you will find hundreds of scientific articles as far back as 1998 discussing the scientific basis of this conclusion. GABA receptors, etc. Now they have real world patient data to back up what all those years of research have theorized. The medical community is taking this research seriously (my own doctor gave me the article). So we have naysayers that have not read the scientific literature or probably cannot even comprehend it. I, for one, am not going to say that the British Journal of Medicine, Journal of Affective Disorders and Journal of Pharmacueticals are publishing junk science.
How many years did the Federal Government and tobacco industry say smoking had no bad effects on a smokers' health and certainly did not cause lung cancer? DECADES. Does anyone still believe that smoking tobacco is totally harmless? Nobody in the scientific, medical, or government world.
