Tell the DME you are going to use a different company. One which will supply you with what you want. Call your insurance company and have them send you a list of contracted medical supply companies. The key word you have yo SAY or ask is are they CONTRACTED. Anyone can bill them but are they CONTRACTED.
My insurance company gave me a super super long list of companies. Apnea tried to give me some crap machine I've never heard of. I Simply called them back and said no thank you. I am going somewhere else. Please never call me back. My company I use now had NO problem getting me the newest cpap Autoset with heated hose.
I have a ppo. That may make a difference. But, still call and ask for a list. Good luck!
