should i print detail data in rescan for doctor to see?
Hey all, This luke1985. Sorry I have been gone so long. I have been using my CPAP for about a year. I have got a solid good 6 months in. I am now finally getting used the machine. It took a while, but thanks to everyone's story that kept me going, on this site. I have another question for you. My doctor wants to see my results from my machine. What summary should I tell DME to fax over to the doctor (RESMED software)? Also it seems my central apnea is getting higher on the charts, through RESMED software. Can you take a look at these screen shots for me? One other thing any advice to keep the mask on at night? The past few days I have been taking it off and waking up about two hours later to put it back on, in the middle of the night. I am trying everything I can. Please any newbies that are starting CPAP, IT WILL WORK OUT. I have included a lot of screen shots, since I don't know which one will help. Thanks for reading this post, and I will stay informed with yah. Thanks a lot again!!

Hi Luke
Your chart looks a lot like mine did from day 20 to about day 40 - lots of broken nights. It was mask problems - leaks and claustrophobia on a FFM. Had to keep taking breaks and left huge gaps in my usage patterns. Got into nasal rinses then switched to P10 pillows, great since then - 8 hours plus a night with one or two bathroom breaks.

Re: Hello again its been a while
He wants me to take the machine to my dme. I asked I could just bring the sd card and they told me they have to have the whole machine. They are going to just switch the sd card out. So I have no clue, what the dme will send to the doctor. Just figured I would try to find an answer on here.Day_Dreamer wrote:He might just want the SD card

Re: Hello again its been a while
I switched from a FFM. All those images you see are from using an Airfit P10 Pillows. Maybe I should a different Pillow mask. I just started thinking, and maybe it is coming of on its own. I do lay on my side when I fall asleep and then I am back when I release the Pillow is of my nose. Actually the whole head gear. I don't what to think of it. You would think I would of got the hang of it by now. LOL Joking Thanks for tip. I am taking an prescription nose decongestion the doctor prescribed. When I first starting using an nasal pillow my ears would pop ever time I would swallow and some nights I could not use the air pillow from my nose being clogged. That problem fix it self after using the prescription medication. I told my doctor about my mask coming off and he told me was to keep trying. The more use the better, which I know.englandsf wrote:Hi Luke

Any other suggestions out there?
Re: Hello again its been a while
What decongestant are u using? And what size pillow (do they "fill your nostril" or just sit in it)? Is the headgear fitting well or not?

Re: Hello again its been a while
Fluticasone Propionate is the nasal Spray. I think it is a decongestant, not sure. Also, I am using small. Just to let you know I had an medium. So I tested both of them in my nose. The small just sits in my nose, and the large seems to expand my nose nostrils a tiny bit, but fill my nostril. Should I get mediums instead of small? If that's the problems I can easily call my DME and switch them out. The small are still sealed in the package.englandsf wrote:What decongestant are u using? Re: Hello again its been a while
Okay I got the medium size now. They seem to be working better. I did have my cpap off for about 40 minutes.. Thanks for all the tips.
Re: Hello again its been a while
Luke, that's a corticosteroid and it's what I use.
Have you tried a nasal rinse once or twice a day? Before you use the spray. Neilmed do a cheap bottle based system that I like more than neti pots.
If the large pillows wedge your nose open I recommend you actually try them for a night - you sound like me and I found them great for air flow and seal.
Can't hurt for one night, right?

Re: Hello again its been a while
Humidity preferences/needs can vary widely among cpap users...from "don't need any extra humidity and don't even attach the humdifier" to "would snort water if I could".
If your humidity setting is already on the low side you might try a higher setting.
If your humidity setting is already on the higher side you might try a lower setting.
There's no hard fast rule in this area that works for 100% of the population. It's just something that you have to sort out yourself.

why do you refuse to 'get' the fact that not everybodies nose is like yours?englandsf wrote:Keep the humidity low too - and no ramp! - blast those nostrils open! Let us know how it goes..
