Oooh! If it works with the cat, I'll move on to the MiniMe!

If the OP sleeps in a bedroom, how about keeping the bedroom door closed with the cat outside? Wouldn't take this happening more than once here, and the cat wouldn't be sleeping in the bedroom. I assume that this must be happening at night, or the OP would have simply put the tubing in a drawer or closet during the day? Maybe we're talking about a studio apartment with no bedroom? More information would be really helpful here *smile*.

Another thing cats hate to touch is double stick tape.
Narrow strips spiraled around the tube just might be enough to make biting less fun.

Do cats like cupcakes?

Duct tape is not available scented. If you could find a repulsive (to the cat) scent you would be home free.

Yea but if it's repulsive to the cat it's likely repulsive to me as well... citrus was suggested, but most citrus essential oils have an energizing effect, at least on me, so it seems counterproductive. I've got friends with a sewing machine, I'll ask one to mock up a hose cozy out of heavy wt nylon like the long one I have. In the meantime I'll have to fine tune my patch job as it's still leaking a tiny bit :-\

just keep any anti cat smells away from the cpap intake, doesn't matter much what you put on the outside of the hose, smell wise as long as it doesn't pervade the room

Or even better, for the next Respironics model, an APAP that bites the cat back! Anti-Cat Guard!

Didn't phase my Maine Coon, but I suppose they could be in for a shocking experience if they hit it just right!
