They can change your settings from the card. After they read your cards, ask them if they changed any settings. Then when you get home, check all the settings.
I do not think that is true. The SD card cannot change machine settings.

When DMEs use ResScan they can indeed program changes to various settings into the SD card and when that SD card gets put back into the machine it will change the settings if the DME has made a point to change something via the SD card.
We could also do the same using ResScan but it's a PITA load of work to do something that we can do in 5 seconds manually in the clinical menu...but yes...it can be done.

SD cards are cheap. Get some and and use them once to give to the DME. Reformat them after they come back.
