New S9 Autoset

Post by Musical63 » Fri May 09, 2014 9:37 am

Even though I just recently registered on this forum, I have enjoyed reading the post on this forum since March 2010, when I was first diagnosed with OSA. The information I have gained from all of you has been very helpful during the past 4 years.

I recently had my annual checkup with my sleep doctor and she has ordered a new apap for me. It will be the Resmed S9 Autoset. I want to make sure that I receive a new machine and was wondering if anyone of you know if there will be any hours on a new machine and what the latest firmware will be. I should be hearing from my DME in the next few days and would appreciate any information you all can give me.

If it's a new machine it will have zero hours on it; the DME will probably be taking the plastic bags off from everything in front of you. I think the double check button lets you check the hours if you scroll down.

Not sure what the latest firmware version is for the S9.

I don't know about the firmware, but:
To be sure it's a brand new machine you need to check not only the Use hours but also the total Run hours. The DME can reset the Use hours to zero, but they can't reset the Run hours.
You may want to check the Run hours before you even leave the DME with the machine, so you don't get into this situation: viewtopic/t97746/Apria--Is-this-a-new-m ... ed-S9.html
Use the link in my signature box to the S9 video tutorial. It will help you with how to navigate through the menus on the S9, including the clinical menu.

I got in a new S9 Autoset this week fresh from ResMed. SX474-1201 is the current level. Prior to this what I would see is SX474-0907.
