ResMed S9 worked yesterday-not today

Post by hopingitworks » Fri Jul 05, 2013 7:07 am

I have a ResMed S9 (with the H5 Humidifier) which I purchased about a year ago. It worked fine up until last night. I went to plug it in and the ResMed logo flashes on and off but I can't seem to get the unit to function properly. The flashing of the logo on the unit is all that it will do. I did run out of water in the humidifier the night before. But that has also happened in the past with no ill effects. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks for whatever information you can provide.

Could be the power brick is bad. If you could get a hold of another some where and try it and see if that's it.

Did you unplug it for a few minutes and then replug it? Could the connections be loose? Keep us posted.

Have you pushed the Power Supply {Brick} connector all the way in?
Also try with the humidifier detached.

Is the flash card installed properly? Have you tried removing and reinserting the flash card?
I wonder if a blinking logo might not hint at fried firmware.

I hope you'll tell us what you find out.

I have tried all of the suggestions above to no avail.

I ordered a new Autoset from the supplier but, thankfully, the one I have is under warranty and will be repaired. I need a spare anyway as I travel a lot for business and it is nice to have one at home that doesn't have to travel with me.

If I find out what was wrong with the older unit I will let everyone know.

Thanks to all for your suggestions!
