FYI for Fitlife Total Face Mask
I recently ordered the Fitlife Total after PM's back and forth with Grand-Pap and mentioned this to him and thought I would pass this on to the community. My Hybernite hose will not fit the mask attachemnt, they are almost the same diameter. Also my regular hose has to really really stretch to fit over the mask input. I just thought that all hose and mask interfaces would fit, something like an industry standard. Silly me.
Anyway I'm trying it our tonight.

Re: FYI for Fitlife Total Face Mask
one problem i've had with it is that the air seems really hot and humid in the mask ( and i'm not using a heated hose) - I don't know if there is some way to address that but it is the only ffm mask that i've been able to use for more than an hour or so

Always tired,
That seems really odd that both the Hybernite and your regular hose would not fit the mask elbow attachment. I agree with you that all of the manufacturers should be making the fittings a standard size! Perhaps you could get this quick connect from our forum sponsors and it might be better suited to make a good connection, if not, it is only a few dollars, so your not out much. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/hose-q ... nnect.html I actually use this connector between my hose and humidifier so I can quickly unhook the hose if I need to get up in the middle of the night (it also keeps the rubber hose end from getting stretched out)

I just measured both diameters (hose and mask) and they are almost identical. The quick disconnect/adapter looks perfect but I really can't see any reason the Fitlife designers decided to use a different size in the first place.
For that price I'll order a couple.
Thanks

Re: FYI for Fitlife Total Face Mask
R you sure got all the pieces to the mask. Do you have a j shaped piece with a flapper valve. and then there is a little straight piece of clear hard tubing. It goes into the base of the j shaped piece which has the flapper valve. and the other end should fit the hose. Or do you have a small Resmed hose?

I have the swivel elbow with the flapper valve installed to the mask, but not another piece (adapter) that fits between hose and mask. Should there have been one in the package?purple wrote:R you sure got all the pieces to the mask. Re: FYI for Fitlife Total Face Mask
Check you package for the adapter piece. It should have been in the box with the mask. When I first received mine, I overlooked the adapter. I had to go back and recheck the box and found it. If it's not in the box, contact the place you bought it from and see if they can send you the adapter! It is a very small package and easy to overlook. I had actually took an adapter off of one of my other mask and was using it, before I found mine.

Re: FYI for Fitlife Total Face Mask
Don't remember seeing the adapter in the plastic wrapping, dang I hope I didn't throw it away, but pretty sure it was not in there. Going back through Sears and then through another supplier is going to be time consuming. Will probably just buy the adapter referenced in an earlier reply to this post. If you can please look at the link for the adapter below and see if this is what I'm looking for.woodworkerjunkie wrote:Check you package for the adapter piece. Re: FYI for Fitlife Total Face Mask
I 'm pretty sure this is the one your looking for! Check to see if your Hybernite hose and your regular hose has the same inside diameter opening. I use the regular hose and have never used the other. If they are the same inside diameter, then the adapter listed below is the one you need. The inside diameter of the mask elbow should also be the same as your hose.

Re: FYI for Fitlife Total Face Mask
All three inside diameters are within a fraction. I also have a nasal mask and did a test, the swivel fitting on it fits into the Fitlife...so the adapter should work.woodworkerjunkie wrote:I 'm pretty sure this is the one your looking for! Re: FYI for Fitlife Total Face Mask
I received the fitlife XL mask from cpap.com a little over a week ago and the piece you need to connect the mask to the hose was packaged separately in a small see-through plastic bag - i initially overlooked it and was also unable to connect it to the hose - then i went digging around on the couch and found it

Well it looks like in my haste to get to the mask I overlooked the separate packaging.
Thanks
