S9 & PR ONE Series 60 - definitely a noise difference
S9 & PR ONE Series 60 - definitely a noise difference
EDIT - The noise issue with my PR ONE series 60 was because it was defective.

Re: S9 & PR ONE Series 60 - definitely a noise difference
Well thanks for all the great replies
Sadly I've decided I can't use my new PR ONE Series 60 machine due to the noise it makes during the night.
It actually woke me up last night. Its not the moving of air noise as per my original post that woke me its a "whoooooooo" sound on exhale that sounds like a moving motor part. It sounds like something spinning fast. And if i put my hand on the machine you can feel the vibration coming from it. This sound does not occur when i first put turn on the machine, it seems to just start intermittently during the night.
Does anyone know if cpap.com can check a machine out and/or fix, or should i contact respironics?
Has anyone else experienced this sound?

I would call cpap.com. They seem to be very good at customer service.
I have used both PR System One and Resmed S9 and didn't have a noticeable difference with noise between the machines. Maybe you just got a lemon?

Re: S9 & PR ONE Series 60 - definitely a noise difference
probably no replies because not many people here use the system 60 and even fewer also have the s-9. i can say my and my wife's sys one auto a-flex machines are very quiet. i think in 2012 the newest machines by all mfgr's should all be pretty quiet. so i would contact cpap.com via e-mail and see what they are willing to do. you could also contact rp and see who gives you the best answer.
