Thanks all for all the good information

Post by SleepySydney » Fri Feb 17, 2012 8:33 pm

I normally lurk on this board and read about you all but I have to say Thanks as you all have made my life on my new Bi Pap machine much more better.
When I got it I thought there was no way in hell I was going to wear that thing every night. Now it been 60 days and and I hear it 8 + hours a night.
By reading the posts about DME's I knew what to look out for and I actually ended up getting a good one (so far). My doctor knows I read my data and in glad to answer questions.
I didn't get screwed real badly getting a machine, and mask, though they tried to stick it to my insurance company.
My AHI was over 100 drug my sleep study and now its under two most nights.

One question I do have though is why all the dogs for avitars ? I will work on mine if I can get a good pose.

Thanks again for all the good information.

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

No dogs here..but deer babies.

When I joined the forum back in May 2009 almost everyone had a monkey avatar. Something about eating bananas help cure OSA or something like that and one thing lead to another....monkeys were everywhere.

I'm a dog lover so it just seemed fitting to use a picture of one of them as my avatar. Since I have four dogs, I can rotate them and give them all a little bit of fame on the internet.

(My daughter calls me "the crazy dog lady", lovingly, of course).

That started me coughing.
It could refer to the appearance of your significant other all masked up; a petrifying sight? Or it could be how you look when you wake up with your hose curled all around your neck.

I never thought about the hose and snakes comparison. But you are right it is my latest Medusa doll.
Snakes ie hoses make you powerful?

My bipap is named Kaa after the boa constrictor in The Jungle Book. The hose reminded me (and still reminds me) of a large, stuffed toy snake to cuddle up to each night .....
