How do I read S9 Autoset blower hours logged?
Would like to check blower hours on my S9 but don't know how to pull it up. Anyone know how?

i would like to know how to find hours run (as opposed to hours used). I was told it was in the Service menu but I don't have a machine yet so that does not yet mean much to me.

I also got my new S9 Autoset yesterday and I am completely lost. The User Guide is too vague and incomplete. Where can I find more detailed information?
Re: How do I read S9 Autoset blower hours logged?
There is a tutorial on the ResMed website, but for some inexplicable reason even the user one is only viewable for registered users who are prescribers or sellers of the machine. it is a tutorial designed for useers so why it is only available for clinicians and resellers is beyond comprehension.
However if you are just getting/buying a machine I think the way to find out the hours run and the software version is to simultaneously push the two buttons to the right of the LCD and to the left of the rotary button. and hold them down for three seconds.
You'll need to scroll thru menus and select them by using the rotary button on the right but you should come to one which say SW at the top left. The following is a recent version of the software; SX474-0903 which appears next to SW (which presumably refers to software. Although I think I read somewhere that someone saw a version SX474-0904.
The tutorial does not show hours run but i believe it should be there. it does show hours used, but my understanding is that this can be reset by a clinician so it is not a valid indicator of prior use.

Re: How do I read S9 Autoset blower hours logged?
See if this Tutorial shows now to get to blower hours.
http://www.cpaplibrary.com/machines.html
Or these instructions on how to get to the provider menu where the blower hours are found.
and at the bottom of these instructions is another video.
http://www.apneaboard.com/ResMed/ResMed ... Setup.html
The CLinical menu is a bit vague on how to get the machine hours (blower) to show up.
Easy to get the therapy hours used and it is somewhere on that screen where blower hours pops up.
I don't have a ResMed machine to test exact steps.
Hopefully someone with ResMed will chime in on the exact steps. It has been mentioned here before.
If someone doesn't have the Clinical manual for the ResMed S9..you can request one here via email
instructions are down near the bottom.

Below is a quote from chunkyfrog from a while back:

OK, first press the 'i' button; you will see the sleep report screen, then hold down both the silver rectangular buttons
until the little wrench appears on the bottom line, then turn the knob to the right of those silver buttons ONE click--you
will see a different screen; then you the turn the knob until the 'run time' line appears. This is it.

That's a good source too. I have another direct link that usually will offer to people if they will just send me a private message. When I am going to be away from the computer and not be able to respond then I offer the apneaboard link.NateS wrote:

I hadn't seen your source...I will save it for future needs. Thanks for posting it.

Re: How do I read S9 Autoset blower hours logged?
Nate, what kind of a site is that anyway, and what's in the files? Everyone I clicked on is an executable, not just a plain PDF. What sort of adware or other not-so-good stuff do those files want to install on my machine? Do you know? Have you run any of the exe files?NateS wrote:Here is another easy source from which to immediately download ResMed Clinician and Provider Manuals:

Pugsy, I would hold off sending folks to that web site until we find out for sure it's truly legitimate. It looks quite sinister to me to have PDFs wrapped up in exe files.

Gottcha. I didn't bother to click on them to see what I got or who it comes from.idamtnboy wrote: Pugsy, I would hold off sending folks to that web site until we find out for sure it's truly legitimate. It looks quite sinister to me to have PDFs wrapped up in exe files.
My direct download source points a a cpapsupply online company. The reason I don't make it public is that I don't want the cpap police to get wind of it and shut it down when it is so blatantly open. I don't want to cause them any trouble and I don't want to lose the links.
I know for sure that the pdfs I have downloaded from my source are quite safe.
I have a bad headache tonight so I am not up to experimenting with download that might be buggy.
so I will pass on this one. Now if someone says it is okay. I will be happy to point people there.
The apneaboard request by email....takes maybe a day depending on whose minding the site.
So not a long wait.
