ResMed recommends hanging the tube on a daily basis.
I am wondering if this is really needed as a daily task. I am a little concerned about the wear and tear on the electrical connection from making and breaking this connection daily for the life of the machine.
I use hypoallergenic filters and distilled water, and I haven't seen any signs of condensate in the tube.
Is this a case of the manufacturer giving overly conservative instructions, or is daily hanging needed.
Thanks!

This practice is recommended by manufacturers. In practice, many of us don't do this, and our lack of following directions does not seem to have a negative impact on our therapy or success. I can't see the point of doing this. What does it accomplish? Looks suspiciously like manufacturer's CYA to me. But if you think it's necessary, go for it!

That's what I was thinking - just wanted to be sure.
