Where I have Been OT

Post by Severeena » Wed Feb 10, 2010 1:20 am

I know I have been absent a long time, so I guess it is time to fill you all in.

First I want to say welcome to all new members on this forum.

Everything started going bad for me about the middle summer 2008. I was trying to keep my spirits up and not let hubby know how sick I was getting.

Feb of 2009 I finally gave in and had a heart cath done in Kenosha General. They kept me in the hospital until March 27, 2009 when they preformed Aortic Valve replacement surgery.

I felt like I went through WWIII only to wake up with my hands tied because they were afraid I would tear out my Trach Tube and ventilator tubing.

My hubby needed so much support and our former church wouldn't even give him the time of day to be with him in his our of need.

I could not console him because I was so drugged up I needed support as well.

The reason for the Tracheotomy was because I crashed when they tired to remove the ventilator.

I was in Kenosha General for about a month or maybe longer.

I was then taken to Select Care in West Allis where they started weeny me off of the Ventilator.

The people at Select Care was a lot nicer to me than at Kenosha General and the food!!!!!!!!!

I got to order something different every day/

I could order deli, Chinese, Mexican or American food and breakfast wasn't bad either.

When hubby came to visit it was like a candy store for me. Fresh fruit, chocolate candy, Bible on CD as well as my study Bible and a pink bunny rabbit for me.

I missed Good Friday, Easter, and Memorial Day all because of being in a hospital a extra care.

Then in November when my kids made plans to come and see Tom and I over Thansgiving, guess who was back in the hospital. yep I was in the hopspital for the whole time my kids were here.

Not long ago I was back in for another 8 days.

Oh, my goodness, Severeena. So sorry to hear about all you've been going through.

It's good to see your update post. You've been missed.

I'm glad to hear the worst is far behind, and that you're well on the way to improvement now.
Do take care of yourself!

Best regards to your good husband, Tom.

Thanks rested gal.
I know I will never be 100% ever again, but I will try and help hubby plant a garden this year.

I missed out on that as well.

Welcome back. Just hate to hear you weren't away having fun. Hopefully if you turn up missing again it will be because it's garden planting season. Take care.

I wish it was for planting a garden.

The only thing that turned out in the garden was the tomatoes and my kalirobbi. No pickles

So Glad to see you back on the forum Severeena,

I am sorry you have been through so much. I do wish you a great 2010 and a great gardening year as well.

Are you still getting great success with the Hans Rudolph masks?

Take care of yourself.
