camping with CPAP
camping with CPAP
What are the recommendations for a CPAP that can be used for camping with no electric hookups?
Re: camping with CPAP
I would recommend that you check out the Everest2 bundle with the integrated battery. Great little machine if you don't need flex.
DeVilbiss IntelliPap Std Plus with Smartflex; Transcend miniCPAP & Everest2 w/humidifier & batt for travel. UltraMirage FFM; PadACheeks; PaPillow. Using straight CPAP at 13.0/passover humidifier. AHI consistently < 1.5. Began CPAP 9/4/08.

We are going camping at the end of the month as well, so I appreciate your post. Is this machine a self-contained battery? Is it expensive?

Or, you could save alot of money and just get a battery system for your regular CPAP.

I use the Black and Decker 400. Note that while it will run AC, you will get more hours out of it if you use a DC converter. I suggest purchasing a machine specific one from cpap.com - it will cost you about $25 and you won't have to struggle with the question of which tip works for my machine.

Sorry, but I can't recommend the aeiomed everest portable..I bought one just about 3 years ago and it just quit on me..Keeps
shutting off and on...with or without the battery backup...Kind of bummed out about this...warranty is up and don't know where or should I get it fixed (if it can be fixed)...expensive to send back. They charge a fee just to look at it. It was great
while it lasted. Have another CPAP but if my power goes out, I'm stuck....
