New product for those that get air in the eyes

Post by JeffH » Thu Jun 11, 2009 12:50 pm

I use something different than this, but by the same maker. This one is designed for cpap use. I'm not associated with them in any way, just a happy consumer of their products.

the question of whether air can be blown the wrong way thru the tear ducts by the CPAP seems unanswered

I'll answer it....sure it can.

I have whats called reoccurring corneal abrasion in my right eye. I injured it in a car wreak several years ago. I ALWAYS had trouble with air getting into my eyes until I started wearing the Tranquileyes eye mask for dry eyes. Haven't had any trouble since.

That looks like it may have potential. I get eye leaks from my masks occasionally, and my eyes get irritated from the reflected draft from the air outlet (air blows against bedding and "ricochets" into my eyes). I just have to put another plug in here, too, for those who have a lot of trouble with mask leaks. I rotate my masks with a Nasal Aire II, and once the cannula for that is positioned right, I almost never have leaks. My data in the morning confirms that.

OOOhh! I don't have trouble with the mask leaks, but I have Sjogren's, which causes dry eye. These look like a deluxe way to help with that.
Thanks!
