Here is how to stop the cushion from blowing out of the groove while you are trying to sleep! Sorry if anyone did this already, but I didn't find it searching for it
Step 1. Buy some SILICONE PUTTY. Can be bought as Mack's silicone ear plugs
Step 2. Roll it out into a rope
Step 3. Lay it along the outer groove
Step 4. Lay the foam part of the cushion into its groove, then push the silicone part of the cushion into its groove. You will have to push pretty hard to make sure it goes all the way down into the silicone rope and groove

Thanks nobody! I just got a Flexfit 431 and have had this problem. You solution should work for the Flexfit 431 as well!
Great and thanks again!

You're welcome. It works really well to stop that from happening. The mask was completely useless until I did that, now it works great. Eventually the silicone putty does break down and you have to take it apart, clean out the old putty and put new in again. Still, worth it for a nice comfy mask.

I think it is well worth it as well! I find it a nice comfy mask as well. I needed a full face for backup if I get a cold or am congested for some reason. This is the lightest, most comfortable one I have tried yet in a full face! I've been wearing it off and on so I will be used to it when I need it. For me, it is very comfortable and as I said, very light.
Now, thanks to you, I have the only problem I had with it solved!!

I'm so glad I found this! I was thinking of using the putty thing, but was not sure were to put it. I use the 431 and in the middle of the night I must bump the chin part. I do really like the mask and this will make it perfect. Thanks for the info.

Hi Mr. Nobody,
Good idea, I'll give it a try.
BTW, how do you accomplish a through periodic cleaning of the mask. I find that sometimes I collect some "drool" in my mask over night. So, I do a weekly complete disassembled cleaning and daily (non-disassembled) cleaning with a "Baby wipe". I just cannot tolerate the thought of "something" growing inside the mask.
OT--Love your board ID. As a child, I use to have a dog named "Mr. Nobody." My siblings and I would always shift the blame for anything we could with the phrase, "It must have been Mr. Nobody!" Unfortunately, Mr. Nobody did so enjoy chasing and eating squirrels and Chipmunks.

Hi, I actually don't use that mask anymore as I much prefer the Simplicity mask. When I was using it I would give it a rinse in the morning with hot water and Dr. Bronners soap. And I took it apart and cleaned it after the putty started breaking loose (about a week), then put new putty in it.

I am wondering if the Forma will have this same problem. My pressure is only 11 so I am not sure that is high or not.
Will keep this in mind.
So far it is looking like I will be calling Tuesday to order one because I am trying a smaller size quattro and it is hurting my nose big time.
Thanks for the idea though. I think this deserves a LAB RAT Award!

In terms of a FFM, I think this one is much more comfortable than the Quattro. Unfortunately I think this one is a bit big on me where the Quattro fits better. I still love the Simplicity, tho. It's also not nearly as expensive as the others. There's nothing special you need to do with it and the mask cushion lasts a lot longer than the Quattro.
