.......more Data Analysis

Post by carbonman » Wed Jul 30, 2008 7:23 am

Please let me know if my analysis is on track.
I was titrated at 8cm. I have had good results since I started 1 month ago.
I do feel better but no million$$ mornings.....but a little better each day.
Since I got my APAP machine and listening to SnoreDogs/DreamStalker 's
collective advice and looking at my data, it looked like my avg. cpap pressure
was closer to 9 each night than 8. So, last night I set my min. to 8.5.
My AHI went below 2 for the first time.
.....BUT as SD says, how do you feel?
Well, I had the best night’s sleep I have had, that I can remember.
Is it a million$$ am, not quite, but very close.
Looking at last night’s numbers, I am thinking I need to push the min. to 9.
Is the leak about as good as it gets, or should I be trying to decrease that?
I had my first complete mouth seal w/Polident strips. Using two, custom cut and
fitted. I have a slight mechanical problem w/pillow creating a tender spot on
one side. Not sure what to do about that.

Yep ... your leak rate is as good as it gets ... keep it up!

Bumping up your min to 9 should help eliminate the residual HI and get you down below 1.0 AHI. Try Ayrs Saline Gel w/ Aloe for the tender spot.

You be doing great!

What Dreamstalker said. Good for you! It's important to let your settings settle for a while, so you might want to stop tweaking after this next change for a week or so. Then see how a weeks worth of data looks. Personally, my data varies throughout the week - my sleep quality decreases during the week and increases over the weekend.

Take Care,
