I know high blood presure can ofton be helped with cpap but have a question about that.
Even with using a cpap my AHI is still about 5 and I don't think cpap has helped my blood
much if any. Is there just geting your AHI down to 5 enough to show a blood presure lowering
effect or do you have to have it much lower 5 to notice any effect on blood presure

Re: Blood presure
Blood pressure is affected by many factors.
Apnea is only one of them; and 5 is not ideal.
Cpap is for many a huge help--don't stop that, but look for something else.

Re: Blood presure
I often see AHI less than 1.0 but I still have to take BP meds. So while some people can see a marked reduction in BP just from cpap therapy....not everyone will be that lucky.
You could try getting a lower AHI but there is no guarantee that even with AHI 0.0 that it will change your BP.
