Resmed full face Airsense masks

Post by Arizona-Willie » Tue Jun 15, 2021 11:23 am

What is the difference between the Airsense 10 / Airsense 20 / Airsense 30?

i saw an Airsense 10 at the lung doctors yesterday and it looked nice. But I couldn't see how to change the cushion. I'm sure there is as way to do it. Right?

I've been using a Quattro FX for years but this one looked like it would be much more comfortable.

AirSense 10 is a machine model

Did you mean AirFit ???? AirFit is a mask related term.

The Air Fit 10 and 20 cushions simply snap onto the frame. To remove the cushion, simply pull it away from the frame. To install the cushion, center the cushion in the frame and push gently until you feel it snap into place. If you look at the mask, you can see where the elbow comes into the mask. The cushions simply snap on to the ring on the opposite side of the mask frame.

I use the AirFit F30 and yes the cushion snaps into a clear plastic frame the the upper straps attach to and the also have the lower straps magnetic catches.

Here’s a video showing assembly/disassembly:

Don’t know anything about the F10 but the F20 fits OVER your mouth and nose and felt too much like a gas mask to me. (I did try it for a week) The F30 fits over the mouth but UNDER your nose, it’s considered a “hybrid” mask that utilizes elements of both a traditional full face mask and a nasal cushion. I love it, it’s minimalist, lightweight and I always get a good seal.

Thanks for the responses.

I'm used to a full face mask that goes over my nose so that is no problem for me. I can't handle the nasal masks.
