There are some sellers who sell cpap machines through Amazon.
Have a link?
Not handy. Sorry. It's hit or miss sometimes though with machine availability.
The link I had to a seller who used to offer several machines is now dead on Amazon. A quick search just now didn't yield any results but just earlier this week I saw some. If you can't find anything now you might try later.
I am not looking but really doubt the accuracy of your post. There are not any on sale at Amazon
You can doubt it all you want, doesn't change the fact that it's true.

I guess you're just no good at searching:

Poor advice to the OP. Also telling people how to break the law isn't cool.

You doubt me? I know lots of people who have bought both ResMed and Respironics machines off Amazon.
Now I wish I hadn't wasted my time looking for you and trying to help you.
Don't worry....won't happen again.
Have a nice day.

The owners of this forum do two things.
1)provide a forum for us to post free of charge
2) sell CPAP machines and accessories legally with a prescription

Show some respect for the forum owners and especially yourself by not promoting illegal sales of CPAP machines.

Are you a DME? Why are you so against people buying used machines? That is totally legal and does not require a prescription. There are lots of people who can't afford to jump through the expensive hoops required to get a prescription. Some know they have sleep apnea. Some have already been diagnosed and prescribed a machine, and they are truly jumping through hoops for insurance coverage. Some want a backup, travel, or replacement machine. I bought my backup/travel machine at a goodwill. I got lucky. My mom's second machine (she sleeps in 2 places) was given to me by my boss after her husband died from cancer. She knew my mom and I both had sleep apnea and knew it would get used.

I have no idea if our actual prescriptions would still be valid. My mom got her machine through medicare. Mine was through insurance. Both were in 2012. If I need a new machine, and the doctor and insurance will do it without a new sleep study, then great. Otherwise, I will buy used and not bother with it. I am not paying the copay and dealing with a new sleep study. I already know what I need.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

I didnt say anything about used machines. The OP didn't mention used machines either.
I do have a problem with people promoting illegal activity

Well.......since the forum owners made me the only moderator here.....I doubt they have a problem with me and no one is promoting anything illegal because it isn't illegal for any cpap user to buy any machine from wherever they want to buy one...RX or not.
If you think it is illegal...show me the law stating as such.
Don't show me the law about DMEs selling cpap machines though...that's not the same as my buying a machine with or without a RX.

I think that OP has had his questions answered sufficiently and the thread has derailed and become a sniping contest.
We are done here folks.
If OP has further questions he will need to start another thread....my apologies but that happens sometimes.
Thread locked.
