[WTS] AirCurve 10 VAuto
Usage hours around 7 months? Second owner. Original owner could have been a smoker so I'm willing to let this one go for a very low price. $340 + shipping. Will post pics of machine hours. PM if interested.
2030 hours total. 888 hours from original owner. 1142 hours from me.
New price: $300 + shipping OBO
It has a subtle smoky smell. I aired it out with the mask fit and used it for a few months with absolutely no smell detected, then a week ago a bit of the smell came back. The unit otherwise works perfectly fine and is very quiet.
Includes:
-water tank
-power adapter
-everything else
-heated hose if you want it
SOLD

Re: [WTS] AirCurve 10 VAuto
So that would be, like, maybe, 5,110.01 hours? That's how many hours are in 7 months, by my calculations. Or actually, Google's.
Does that include you?
Is that code for "it smells bad"?
So are you waiting for someone to start the bidding at $1.00?

Around 8 hours a night for 7 months. I am the second owner of the machine. The original owner smokes so once a while there's a bit of a subtle smoky smell coming from the machine. I'd run the mask fit feature on the machine for days to air out the smell and it worked for a few months but the smell has kind of come back. If one has the wherewithal to take it apart to clean it, I think it should be no problem.

Painfully sleep deprived, will be going to bed now. Will post pics of machine run hours in this thread later. Stay tuned.

Get some sleep. Hopefully the additional info will help people decide.love2sleep69 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 9:36 amPainfully sleep deprived, will be going to bed now. Will post pics of machine run hours in this thread later. Stay tuned.
But at this point, going from . . .
. . . to . . .
. . . in the space of 12 minutes might give some potential buyers serious pause.
Just sayin.

I need to buy one of these machines, but I could never pay $300 for one if it has any smoke smell.

Alright, let me clear up all discrepancies. It smells smoky, so theres little doubt in my mind that the previous, original owner was a smoker, short of asking him directly. $300 OBO. This one is for whoever can manage to clean out the machine. Anyone who can give it the secondwindcpap treatment, it is sill a damn fine machine that is quiet and runs perfectly.jnk... wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 9:49 amGet some sleep. You've had the machine for 7 months, and haven't gotten the smell out. You claim the smell was so bad it made you feel sick worsened you insomnia.love2sleep69 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 1:34 amSo far I've only used the ASV for a little over a week so it's inconclusive if I feel better on it. I've only had one semi-decent day with it despite several brief awakenings. All other days, I've had terrible fatigue but I was only starting to get used to it before I discontinued due to being squeamish to the dusty odor coming from the blower and feeling sick for two days. Also due to the smell, my insomnia is even worsened psychologically. I guess I'll just have to find some way to open up the machine to clean it or just tough it out.
And now you want to unload it on someone here.
I'll give you a buck. I could use a spare power-supply, but I'm not sticking that machine anywhere near my nose.

Re: [WTS] AirCurve 10 VAuto
After some airing out, I was using it perfectly fine for a few more months then some subtle smell came back. I could post my usage data from SleepyHead later as proof. Please be more charitable. "Unload it onto someone here." Get out of here lol. I gave forewarning off the bat. I'm willing to let it go for a reasonable price for someone who's willing to take it apart or have it serviced and clean it which will result in a perfectly fine machine.Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 10:15 amFrom your other topic:love2sleep69 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 10:02 amAlright, let me clear up all discrepancies. Edit: Never mind. You were talking about a totally different machine that I've since given away. But my statement still stands.

So that no one is misled...secondwind would never touch or deal with a machine with even a hint of smoke smell.love2sleep69 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 10:02 amAlright, let me clear up all discrepancies. BTW, I appreciate that this poster is being upfront that a smoke smell exists.

Agreed. I am sure there are plenty of people that would take the deal and not care about the smell.

The smell of old smoke doesn't bother me, personally. I grew up around it.babydinosnoreless wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 12:15 pmAgreed. I am sure there are plenty of people that would take the deal and not care about the smell.
I completely avoid actual secondhand smoke now, but the remaining smell isn't a big issue for me at all. Smells like Grandma.
I never smoked. But I would assume that the smell would be an especially big issue for a former smoker who wished to remain so.
Smells are a funny thing for me. If I use a machine in a hotel room or at someone else's house, I can smell that hotel room or house for many days afterward in that machine. It doesn't bother me, though.
