Unfortunately the machine can't tell if you are asleep or not so we really can't tell just by what we see here.
You are the best judge as to how you felt you slept.
Best we can do it notice the breaks in therapy when you turned the machine off and back on again.
Now there is a way to zoom in and look at the flow rate to maybe spot some awake breathing but that takes a lot of time and experience to learn how to do that. I didn't know if you felt up to that yet but if you do...go here and watch the videos and you can get an idea what to look for.

I think you are doing extremely well for jumping into the deep end without any help besides us and you are using a mask that isn't the easiest of masks to adapt to.
It's quite an adjustment just getting used to all this stuff...heck for the first 2 weeks when I started therapy I woke up probably 25 times just to feel the mask on my face. And I liked my mask.

Best of all...even with the hurdles you are facing you are actually noticing improvement in a really short time. That's wonderful news.
It will just get better once you get a mask you like and you get more used to all this stuff.

The back up mask you gave me is amazing I love it. I do feel like it is hard to breathe a bit. My pressure is set at 6 so should I bump up to 8? Are my other settings ideal also?

He's talking about the Respironics DreamWear Full Face mask that I loaned him from my personal stash.
Not surprised one bit that he likes that one better than the Liberty.
He also has the nasal interface DreamWear stuff to try at a later date if he wishes.

And yes go ahead and increase that minimum if you wish...I don't see a problem when people want to increase the minimum a bit just for air movement comfort.
The only real problem that might pop up is aerophagia and that's a maybe or the even more remote maybe of centrals popping up.
Hurts nothing to use a little more baseline minimum for comfort. If it creates a problem it's a maybe...and deal with it if it happens.

So what happens from here? You just get more used to the mask and sleeping with it and gradually feel better over time? After using that mask it made a huge difference. Very comfy. It did fall off in middle of night, maybe I had it on too tight

You just work on sleeping with the mask and watch your data using SleepyHead to make sure things are optimal in that department.
Time...just give it time.
It will get better with time and experience.
You have done awesome good in such a short period of time and doing it all yourself. Give yourself a big pat on the back.

Welcome to the forum.

I would suggest starting off with a modest pressure just to get used to everything and look at the results and go from there.

Settings...6 cm with EPR set to full time and set to 2.

Get SleepyHead software (see my sticky in the Announcements section "Newbies...please read" and let's get you just used to the pressure and the mask and then look at the data available and see how thing might could be better if they need to be.

You first have to be able to sleep comfortably to evaluate anything.....and you never know..you might be able to get by with a nice low pressure.

I have my EPR set to 1. Does setting it to 2 make a big difference and what is he difference.
If your computer has a SD slot you don't need a special card reader. If your computer doesn't have a slot then a reader/adapter for using one of the USB ports will be needed. Cheap generic from Walmart will work just fine.

What operating system is on your computer? Need to know with the S9 machines because you may need to do an extra step with the SD card.

1 cm difference during exhale.

EPR setting of 1 gives a 1 cm drop during exhale.
EPR setting of 2 gives a 2 cm drop during exhale.
EPR setting of 3 gives a 3 cm drop during exhale.

But it won't ever drop below 4 cm...so if using a setting of 5 and you set EPR to 3...you only get a 1 cm drop because the machine can't go below 4.

A 1 or 2 cm change in pressure...not really considered to be a big difference but how it feels might really impact your comfort exhaling.
I suggest you try all settings and see what feels the best to you and use that one.

the past few nights, waking up I have not been feeling good at all, and the day is pretty bad but I think it is a little better. I am not sure what else I should do. I am falling asleep no problem with the mask. my API is still around 2.50

the experts need to see some more of those sleepyhead charts. sounds like your therapy needs a bit of tweaking.

don't get discouraged, though. this can take some time to get your therapy dialed in.

i know; i've been there.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

A little more than 4 hours sleep one night.....simply not enough hours of sleep for most people. No wonder you feel like crap with that one.

Second one....more hours nearing 7 hours which should be of some help.

Tell me...are you waking often during the night?
And are you taking any medications of any kind...if so, what?

Your Flow Limitation graph is ugly....are you having any nasal congestion issues at all or is the nose mainly clear?

Wake often or sleep solid?
Is fatigue your main complaint?
