Drean Station AHI different than SH
Drean Station AHI different than SH
My Dream Station machine reads 4 AHI while Sleepy Head reads out 3.6. This happens all the time. Anyone else have this problem?
Re: Drean Station AHI different than SH
Any chance that the machine was turned off and then back on during the night?

Not significant. Probably using different algorithms. Either way it might be good to work at lowering the number. I would trust SleepyHead.

Re: Drean Station AHI different than SH
Looks like a "rounding" issue to me...........3.6 rounds up to 4.0.
Sleepyhead (and Encore) are more accurate than reading the data from the machine LCD screen.
I don't see it as a "problem", just the way the rounded numbers are displayed.
Even in parts of Encore, the numbers may be rounded up or down (usually up).

Yes the machine is turned off during about 10 minutes for bio brake. Would this affect the numbers?
Re: Drean Station AHI different than SH
Yes, turning the machine off at some point during the night can affect the numbers on the LCD screen.
When you turn the machine off and then back on again you are creating a second sleep session and sometimes the AHI numbers shown on the screen reflect only the second most recent session and not the overall nightly average.
I bet if you could figure the AHI for the second session it would be 4 but the overall average between the 2 sessions is the 3.6 that SH shows since it is figuring the entire night and not just the second sleep session.
No big deal and nothing to worry about.

Re: Drean Station AHI different than SH
While you’re numbers are only slightly different, I’ve had them be vastly different. At one point, the DreamStation (via the DreamMapper app) gave me something like 48, while Sleepyhead showed 6. I do not know why there is such a difference. The machine told me that the number was for the entirety of my sleep for the night (and it showed me the total # of events, so I can verify the AHI over the course of the night).

Like the shoes. Do the soft rubber soles allow you to sneak up on people and surprise them when you jab them with your pitch fork?

I suppose it's more appropriate to call them 'sneakers', since you can't play tennis for squat with a pitch fork.

Re: Drean Station AHI different than SH
I imagine the ball keeps slipping through the tines of the pitch fork, or gets caught on the end of it and punctures the ball. It's really hard to play tennis with a flat tennis ball. They don't bounce very well. The only thing they are good for then is to put then on the legs of a walker.

Exactly, you can think of me as helping people in need have quieter walkers.Okie bipap wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 6:19 pmThe only thing they are good for then is to put then on the legs of a walker.
