There's good stuff in the other thread so I hate to remove it. How about we link to it viewtopic/t173103/Distinguishing-Betwee ... d-SWJ.html and I just lock it after I post a note to reply here to this thread with a link to this thread here? Keep things in this thread as much as possible?

I guess the question now is why I keep getting disturbances and what I can do about it.
I'm no expert, but now that you've turned on the large leak flag I count 8 or 9 CA's that immediately follow large leaks, so it may be that the leaks are creating enough disturbance to lead to some of the CA's. (this chart: viewtopic/t173081/AHI-amp-CA-Climbing-M ... 0#p1269987) You'd have to go back through your history to see if this is a consistent trend.

It's a good observation and I appreciate your close attention! I pulled a few more screenshots with some observations.

Here's one where the pattern you identified holds-- there's a 3.5 minute large leak followed by what looks like an arousal and then the recorded CA.

What confuses me is that there's then a series of those CA-flagged events that are not associated with a large leak at all. Everything else looks normal there, except I appear to have 4 arousals within 15 minutes that the machine flags as CAs.

I also noticed something else weird. There's a spike in mask pressure that's associated with a spike in flow rate, but not in an increase in overall pressure. Right after the last CA flagged event in the center it looks like there's an arousal, and the mask pressure is hanging out around 5.8-7.0 But then right before the spike in flow rate and the mask pressure increase, the mask pressure goes from 6.30 to 0.00 and then up to 9.84 immediately. That's the spike you can see here. Then it drops back down. There are other moments where the mask pressure goes to 0.00 as well. I can't figure out if those are normal variations or if something is weird there, but I'm also mystified as to why there would be a large increase in both flow rate and mask pressure unrelated to any flagged event. Any ideas?

Your quest for perfection will end in tears.

"mask pressure" is measured pressure, when you're snorting and flailing around, it's going to show irregularities.

Perfection? I was getting good sleep and now I'm not. I am waking up with pounding headaches and feeling miserable. If looking to get back to a baseline where I didn't feel actively awful all day is perfection, then sure, I'm looking for perfection. What I am trying to do is understand the data and make informed decisions. I'll readily admit that it's confusing and that I don't know what I'm doing, which is why I'm asking for help on here and seeing my doctor in a few days.

You're trying to perfectly understand every single thing that you see on the charts, that's what I'm referring to.

You're having crappy sleep, it looks like it's being disturbed by your excessive leaks... focus on that, not on trying to validate every single squiggle in the chart.
