Numbers are finally coming down

Post by SirGaspAlot » Thu Jul 26, 2018 7:05 am

Great nights sleep last night finally. I'm seriously hoping the centrals follow suit.

I had 5.5 ahi, 8.10 sleep hours, 5 Obstructive, 27 centrals. Definitely starting to feel better. I hope it stays on this trend.

Will post a sleepyhead later.

Well I'll be damned.

Cross your fingers that this holds.

How would you rate your overall sleep quality last night?

Prior to the Doc making the pressure changes, I actually woke up a lot because I thought I was suffocating. Now its much better, and as much as id love to make the jump to nasal masks, it appears its not for me, Ive tried a few times and it hasn't gone well. So its the Airfit F20 for me. I should say that even a subtle change for me means 3 solid nights of really bad sleep. Just simply adding mask liners screwed me up for 3 days.

I think that I lot of your centrals initially weren't real but more of a symptom of the poor sleep.
It can happen that way.

There is some truth to the "give it time" thing and must be why doctors use it so much.

I am happy for you. Good numbers and even more important decent sleep and feeling better.

Yes,and patience is NOT my better quality..

I probably drove the DME nuts through this process. When I wasn't getting any sleep, that desperate feeling is like none other.

I thoroughly understand the lack of patience thing...I am married to a man that has zero patience about just about anything and everything in life.
God help me if he ever gets OSA...

Good, you made them earn their money! Despite everything that's been said here, your compliance and "adherence" is in their interest. If you're complaint, they get paid by your insurance and don't have to worry about taking the machine back. Also, you'll need to order supplies if you actually use them!

Truth. I'm about to let them earn some more since their rep that delivered the machine gave me 3 wrong sized masks I cant use. Oh wait, maybe they wont. Source of one of my frustrations, seems a simple thing verifying the size is correct BEFORE you give it. Oh well.
