Asking this wonderful community for help with my first Graph post. found this website about 2-3 weeks ago and am reading posts and realizing just how "CPAP treatment ignorant" I have been!
My dr didn't tell me about this website. stumbled upon it in desperation!
Not sure if I should post this here? or as a "reply" on my first original post when I joined about 2 wks ago?
ANyway- I ask for your guidance, interpretation and feedback.
I have used CPAP _ auto Pap, for about 2 yrs now- maybe a lil longer.
Still have AHI too high for my taste which my explain my frequent daytime fatigue and lack of overall stamina.
Luckily I work from home b/c I could never hold a regular 8-5 job like I used to in my 20's.
THank you in advance.

Congratulations.
Certainly understandable that you are feeling tired. You are still having a significant number of obstructive related events. Higher pressure is needed to address them. Your machine is set to auto mode and your minimum pressure is set to 9. Increasing the minimum pressure should help. I suggest increasing it to 9.5 for a few days and then to 10. After a few days, post your charts.
There are some things to try to decrease your CA events but I suggest waiting until after your obstructive sleep apnea is better treated as they may fade away.

THank you for your help.
Should I change the pressure to 9.5 under STRAIGHT CPAP ? or just change the min. pressure (and keep it in Auto-Pap mode?
I need to lookup how to do those changes to my machine- not quite sure how?

Keep it in auto mode. The maximum pressure setting is not impeding you so you can leave that alone. To make the change you will need the "Provider Guide".
Do you have it? If you don't, you can get it here https://www.apneaboard.com/dreamstation ... structions

hey, gabnina96!
i'll leave it to others to offer advice about your machine settings. anything along those lines that i could tell you just flat out be wrong!
from the number of obstructives on your chart, however--are you by chance sleeping a lot on your back?
and yeah, we've all learned here that there are just too many doctors out there that don't know a hell of a lot about this treatment.
stick here; you'll get help.

Always a good idea to discuss with your doctor. While you are there, you should ask for a copy of all of your sleep test results. The more information you have available, the better you can work with your doctor and the forum to improve your treatment.
