Hi everyone im a new user
I bought a AirSense 10 Resmed .
I have had it 2 weeks and getting used to it, but im trying to understand the data.
So in the morning it said i had say 7 hours sleep And 21 events.
What does events mean? Stop breathing ???
Also sometimes i wake up during the night to hear the machine on loud or powerful , does that mean i just had one of these events and the machine has increased its air flow ??
is my aim to decrease the events?
Should i keep a written record?
The only thing is my GP who wrote me the prescription for the Cpap doesnt have any knowledge .
Events 21 an hour is that k?

Re: Events per hour
Also im just going to let you inow the best nights i had was when i was actually tired.
Sounds strange i know but somedays i purposelly made myself walk miles and miles and by the time i got into that bed , put that mask on i was out .
Looking at the data the next morning hardly any events.

Yes I have been eating before going to bed and felt sick from it.
As for execercise you mean just before bed or not at all.
I havent been exercising because of being tired.

Re: Events 21 an hour is that k?
21 events in 7-hours is still an AHI of only 3.0, which is acceptable. The type and duration of events is important in judging whether this is significant. Drawing any conclusions from a single night of therapy, especially without considering what type of events occurred is not something I'd expect of members of this forum.
As suggested above, Sleepyhead software will put the nights together in a more coherent fashion and allow better analysis.
