Re: Dry mouth
A dry mouth is not necessarily an indication of mouth breathing. Folks experiencing one should check sleepyhead reports to see what is going on with mask leaks before they determine switching to a full face mask is necessary.

Since the selection criteria is based on solid medical science, I don't think that this is illegal discrimination Link ===> https://www.courthousenews.com/nj-transit-unfairly-sidelined-them-after-hoboken-crash/ I can't let this go without comment. I think that every single engineer/conductor should...

OT - Jar Opener
Due to weak grip strength, I am unable to open alot of jars without human assistance. Tried this jar opener, https://www.amazon.com/OXO-Good-Grips-Opener-Base/dp/B002DWA6KM/ref=sr_1_6?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1514463621&sr=1-6&keywords=jar+opener+for+weak+hands without success. Re: Head colds
The only thing that has worked for me has been to slightly raise the pressure to make breathing easier. But I would try all the other suggestions and only do this if the other ones don't work. And work with the experts on this forum to make sure you are doing it correctly.

Re: Can CPAP/APAP Treatment Be Dangerous?
My sleep doctor, when he saw I had adjusted the recommended pressures, said I could blow out my thorax. I have no idea if that was good medical advice, or just disgruntled ego talking. On a similar note, former sleep docs would be incredulous that I adjusted my own pressure. But then when they saw ...

Re: Carbohydrate Cravings
Anyone crave carbohydrates? There's a connection between sleep apnea and this craving. Just wondering if anyone has figured out how to lessen or eliminate it. Trying to lose some weight... The best way I know is to just stop eating all refined carbs...anything that comes in a box bottle or can. Giv...

Re: Forced by job to get testing and CPAP I don't need..
Great post Kaiasgram. I too am floored that people feel that someone should automatically accept a medical diagnosis of sleep apnea and when they don't accuse the person of being in denial, particularly when home study tests are not known for their accuracy. Sookiebulldog, best of luck with the full...

Re: BEWARE spammer HJYXWZ
I am jealous of you folks who can get MJ without having to use contacts. But it is what it is. Anyway, I am looking into it for sleep. Yes, I know since I am on Temazepam and tapering off of it, I have to be very careful. But right now, no matter what, I feel like I have never slept so obviously, I ...

Re: Quick update then gone again
Update to the update. I just had a call from the doctor's office and now they want to schedule an MSLT. I just don't understand. I don't have narcolepsy, and my hypersomnia is the result of getting horrible sleep. It's going to show night time arousals and awakenings and awful sleep (I have to have...

I was gone to Vegas when this guy posted but he won't be doing it again under this screen ID. I just fixed that. If I had spotted him the first night he wouldn't have got so many posts made. I would have blocked him sooner. The forum member process still can't filter out all the guys who request to...

Re: CPAP and Anxiety
I would follow KT's excellent advice about making sure your pressure settings are correct and investigating CBT. But if you still are looking for other possibilities regarding anxiety, I would look into CBD oil (the legal stuff) as many people have found it helpful for the condition. It does take al...

Re: Lack of mental focus, slurred speech after starting CPAP
... This brings me to my main issue: In the roughly 6 months that I've been using the CPAP, I now have a new issue. When I sleep for 7+ hours, in general I will wake up a bit dizzy, which stays with me for a few hours at least. Additionally, I am very prone to fumbling things now like keys, toothbr...
