Re: Speculations about CPAP-dependency.

Last month I slept without my machine, first time in ~5 years.
Finally got to sleep but several times as I drifted off I felt my heart race and got an Adrenalin bump.
The next day felt like an all day hangover.
I won't be doing that again if I can help it.

Honestly, I think we are pushing rope here.

OP got an alternative which is what he was after.

grope-able buttons

I just noticed the important buttons on the Resmed s9 are grope-able.
The equivalent buttons on the Airsense 10 are mash-able.

I found that interesting.

I don't get out much.

Re: Tingling face

I used to wear my mask tight and it leaked quite a bit. Now I wear my mask pretty loose and the leaks are trivial. The air pressure "seals" the mask to my face. I also think I have learned to adjust my mask without really waking up. Hope that helps. EDIT: I had jaw pain and pain between my upper lip...

Overall I like this, but I think instead of 7 days, the first couple of posts need to be approved.
EDIT: Thought better of responding to this <sarcasm>awesome</sarcasm> idea.

Re: Speak to Me of UPSes (Uninterruptable Power Supply)

So....do you have any constructive alternative suggestions, given the specific circumstances I describe? I had one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MA4YVNP/ref=dp_prsubs_2 but they are not well rated. Do you use a humidifier? How about heated hose? Both of those things increase the amount of b...

Re: Heart failure and CPAP

As far as experience do you see a big difference with blood pressure and sleeping longer than 6-7 hours? You mean this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_failure ? In answer to your question, not so much. My blood pressure was 180ish over 120ish last year at this time. I had already been on cpap f...

Do I likely have a malfunction (or not)?
For an experiment turn the humidity up to 8 and run the machine for an hour.
Then check to if the plate is warm.
