Re: Inexpensive CPAP?
I have an old Resmed S8 Autoset II with humidifier available. It was user for approx. two years. I don't want any money for it as the display is slightly foggy from when I used a room humidifier and condensation built up behind the plastic screen. All I ask is for UPS ground shipping. You would have...

Re: Cannot belive
Cannot get over all the problems with CPAP. Wow what a surprise. Your Doc does not tell you all the problems. But he does say--expect at least 3 months of trial and error. I guess this is the big clue. Why should your doctor describe to you all the potential problems that you may or may not have wi...

Re: Purchasing apnea machines at discount?
I think he is just pointing out what the retail is but he should be clearer on what he is expecting price wise. He should also register so that people can PM him. Its also strange that he put the "$" as a suffix and not prefix to the number.

Re: Anyone using a RESMED Mirage Liberty mask
At over $200 the mask is on the expensive side with replacement pillows coming in at $40+. The clips at the side are fragile and can break easily. I found my mouth still dropped out of the mouthpiece and couldn't control the leaks. I heard people use pantyhose wrapped around their head to keep it in...

That's too bad, you'd think you would able to get more than 3 years from a machine these days.backdoc wrote:Well, that wasn't it. A new tank, with new seals of course, didn't change the sound.

Re: Weird CPAP Sound Airsense 10
I just ordered a new tank, it'll be here tomorrow. I'll update y'all if it fixes the problem. Thanks for the input. Steve Sorry I meant to say "hear" instead of "here" I have now listened to the sound and I am of the opinion that it is not the tank seal. Your sound has a kind of whirl to it. I had ...

Re: Weird CPAP Sound Airsense 10
I can't get to dropbox from work so I can't here the sound. Does it sound anything like this? http://tinyurl.com/nr6mlyt If so that was my humidifier tank seal. You can't buy just the seal replacement so I had to buy a new tank and the problem went away. I was able to reseat the seal and the sound w...

Re: humidity options
Personally I would not use a room humidifier because my machines manual says not to do so. I also know that condensation/moisture can build up on the electronic components as humid air passes through the machine. The machines humidifier works on the outgoing side as the air exits the machine and the...
