Swift FX Extra Small Nasal Pillows

Hi Everyone, I had to switch from the Extra Small (XS) to the Small nasal pillows and have a few of the XS left over. If anyone would like them I'd be happy to mail them for free. First person to respond, gets them.

Re: Anyone need to sleep in a recliner?

I had the same problem adjusting to the Swift FX mask. Fortunately I have an adjustable bed & eventually got used to sleeping on my back with the head & legs raised. Quite comfy, and a lot like a recliner. When I stay the night at my brother's house, I always sleep on his recliner. I much prefer it ...

Re: Switch from FFM to Nasal Mask

I love my Swift FX mask. Minimally invasive & extremely comfortable. I've used it since day one on the CPAP & of course, like anything, it took some adjustment, but I love it.

Re: Any Problems with Medicare when ordering supplies?

What my DME provider said is that now you have to state why you need the new supply. Also I used to get a 3 month supply & only had to call my DME and leave a message of what I needed. Now I have to fax in a list with the item & the reason why I need it for each & every item every month. Medicare wa...

Re: Anybody Ever Try This For Cleaning CPAP Gear?

I use Dawn Dish-washing liquid. It's what my DME recommended and seems to work well. Yes, a bit of clean dishes smell but I only notice it the first night after washing everything and only for a few minutes. Been using it for a year without any problems.

Any Problems with Medicare when ordering supplies?

Hi, I am about to order my first supplies under the new Medicare rules, where you have to explain why you need the supplies. I was just wondering if anyone has had problems or denials from Medicare. Any special wording that works better than others? Just curious because I can't afford to get stuck w...

Re: Thank You CPAP talkers! Weekly Average AHI down to 1.3

Loving how my numbers are doing. Currently I have the pressure a little higher because I am using a bacteria filter. Current pressure settings are Max/Min 16/12.5 Auto 2. Unless something weird happens I'm pretty happy with everything as it stands at this point. Tried going on straight CPAP and that...

Re: What is your CPAP pressure?

Straight cpap didn't work well for me at all. So now I am back to auto with pressure Max/Min 16/12.5 Auto 3. No ramp up, don't need it.

Re: One side of nose stuffed/clogged up each night.

Kohkie - You talked me into it . I'm going to get those filters. You are correct, the white fine particle filter does advertise HEPA. I too get a clogged nose alot of times and it could be the allergens that could make it through the fine dust filter. Thanks for the tip! I have a manometer so I can...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

Pretty sure I posted here a short time after getting on CPAP so this is basically an update 8 months down the road. I started on CPAP on November 20, 2012. There was an immediate euphoria at finding that I didn't feel the way I did because I was OLD, I felt the way I did because I had severe sleep a...

Re: Any recent Colonoscopy participants here?

I understand your skepticism, but it's my understanding that finding polyps that could become cancerous before they get to that stage, and removing them, reduces the risk of developing difficult-to-treat colon cancer. I don't like these procedures but must admit that I've had several polyps removed...

Re: Central and Obstructive Sleep Apnea - Anyone here besides Me

Welcome Aboard! I too am fairly new to the forum. I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea 3 and a half months ago and put on a CPAP a week later, just before Thanksgiving. Since then I spend as much time as possible in the forum learning from the old-timers. I have learned how to: Find the clinical ...
