Re: We have another troll, worm, slug, spammer.
Hi Nan The expert at this is JNK, who has deceived many people before. cheers Mars Mars, I'll have to disagree with you on this point. I've never known Jnk to be nasty or obnoxious. You both have been most helpful and informative to many of us and are valued members of this forum. I'll have to agre...

Nan...we always will have them. Think of them the way you do ticks, mosquitos, chiggers...and any other blood-sucking pest you can come up with. They are here...but they're pretty useless.....and annoying....

Re: Bed Shopping Recommendations?
Thanks, SleepyT--I see that the nearest Original Mattress Factory outlet is 2 hours away from me, but it sounds like I need to check it out. Do people really flip their mattresses every 6 weeks?? I thought I was doing well to remember to do so once every year or two! I try to remember to flip it re...

Re: Bed Shopping Recommendations?
Rocketgal, I so appreciate the time and detail you put into your reply. Thanks! I think you have swayed me completely away from the memory foam alternatives. I just cannot afford a couple of thousand dollars every year or two for another bed! Not even close! Remember when beds used to actually last...

Re: Bed Shopping Recommendations?
I bought this mattress (attached) and have had no back pain and no shoulder pain. It is awesome...doesn't sleep hot....and it is two-sided. Most mattress warehouse type places now will tell you..."you don't need a two-sided mattress". That's a load of @#^! Being able to flip a mattress now and again...

Re: Losing weight=no cpap??
Hey Geminidream...good to see you again! And congrats on your weight loss. I'm hopeful, too, that you can forego the cpap. I agree with the others about testing your theories with an oximeter or a sleep study. You might also ask your sleep doc about your airway. In other words, some people inherited...

Right...I second that. If your iron is low....that alone can cause cramping and twitches in the legs....kteague wrote:.... I would add iron studies to include a ferritin level...

Interesting. My dad was diagnosed with SA earlier this year....and was told years ago he had glaucoma. He puts drops in his eyes daily to manage the glaucoma.

Kat, I missed your other thread...then I caught a glimpse of it....but wasn't about to slog thru all those pages....still.... I gather it was a doozey! Sometimes we go kicking and screaming! Well, I'll say this about using CPAP. Dori (and Yoda) have it right. There is no try...only do or do not. I d...

Ditto that.ems wrote:I can't really think of a "worst" tip. Some haven't worked for me, but that doesn't necessarily mean they won't work for someone else. I take what I like and works for me, and leave the rest.

Re: Need Guidance
Tommy,
I only have a straight CPAP....but I've heard others say when the pressure adjusts with an APAP...it can wake them...disturbing their sleep. This may be what's going on with you? Just a thought. I'm sure those with APAPS will chime in...
