AirSense 10 Humidifier badly discoloured after first use
I just upgraded to the new AirSense 10 from Resmed, previously having had ResMed S8 Autoset Spirit's and more recently for the last 4 going on 5 years an S9 Autoset and find them to be really good, that's why I recently paid and upgraded and received my new AirSense 10. First night was great, just l...

Re: S9 Skew investigation - your help needed!
ResMed does NOT acknowledge the problem in my experience... partially because their "customers" are not the end users and thus NOT an important part of the sales chain. I managed to get ResMed to acknowledge the problem when I had to return my S9 and H5i due to another fault that nobody else seems ...

Re: Help - CPAP is ruining my job and my relationship!
Well....your personalilty shouldn't change by going on CPAP. What are the side effects you are experiencing? You should be feeling better from CPAP, less tired etc. Personally I wouldn't stop the CPAP therapy I would try to get answers, try to work around any side effects. By stopping CPAP Therapy d...

It'll gow red/orange when it's heating up but when it's not in use or cooling down it will glow blue.
Thanks
Dave

Re: S9 replaced now H5i light doesn't come on when opening latch
Hmmm strange, maybe I've had a faulty H5i all this time. It's always heated up okay and I kinda liked the light greeting me every time I took out the water container.
That's a shame, good to see though the new one isn't faulty as you're all seeing the same thing.
Thanks
Dave

Re: Low AHI, High snore index and flow limitation
Hi Dave, As you've seen it's still possible to snore whilst on a CPAP although the nature of CPAP is that it gives you more oxygen to try and reduce blockage of the upper airway and reduce snoring. A number of things can still make you snore, e.g. lying on your back more whilst sleeping, if your sof...

Thanks Kempo and Bikersguide, does it come on when you take out the water container though? Or does it remain off?

Re: hose fittings
Well I don't unplug my S9 ClimateLine hose that often as I have another travel machine for when I travel, but over the past 6 months the rubber end of the ClimateLine has expanded to the point where I had to use tape to keep it a tight fit. Manufacturer replaced under warranty when they saw how much...

Re: Using CPAP when you have a cold or allergies
I'd definitely recommend trying to get it under control, but I know that's not easy. For me my nose only runs usually when I'm heavily under a cold. I don't suffer that much from hay fever which is good, but I do suffer from blocked sinuses a lot which is the opposite to what you're experiencing. Th...

Re: Nose irritation problems
BigBad64, I know someone that has been on a ventilator for 20 years and he swore blind for around 15 years to place sticky back toweling to the edges of the mask and found that was the best way to both combat leaks and also to stop parts of the mask rubbing on areas of the face or nose. The kind you...

Re: S9 replaced now H5i light doesn't come on when opening latch
@kempo hold SETUP and INFO buttons for 3 seconds, then go down to the spanner and you'll see SW which is the firmware version @torontoCPAPguy I didn't update the firmware myself, the S9 appeared to develop a fault where it was seeing reduction in the flow when I was having Apneas, but wasn't flaggin...

S9 replaced now H5i light doesn't come on when opening latch
Hi, I was seeing a bug in the S9 and had my S9 and H5i swapped out but noticed though that on my previous S9 and H5i (SX474-0601) that when I opened the latch on the H5i casing that the blue light would come on inside the H5i and the LCD of the S9 would light up. Since having the S9 and H5i replaced...

Re: How Many Sleep Studies Have You Had?
I had one sleep study when I was diagnosed about 5 years ago at the hospital sleeping over for one night, then took a machine home to test for 2 weeks and also had a heart monitor and oxygen levels were better on CPAP. Although you could kinda class the 2nd one as I was wearing a heart monitor and o...
