Re: Cheap, Easy Solution for Mouth Breathing/Leaking
It looks like it would get in the way of my nasal mask, but looks intriguing. I would certainly try it as a substitute for my chin strap.

Re: braces and invisalign
I am seeing the orthodonist tomorrow. For quite a while I wore the FitLife Total Face Mask without problems, but before this six month dental check up I noted my bottom teeth/jaw had been pushed about 1/4 inch. There is a gap between my bottom teeth and my top teeth that had not been there before. M...

Re: Newbie needs a lot of help
TPM you're disgustingly normal. This is a post many of us could write in the beginning. Soon it will be like others have described and you will be thinking "is my machine on?". I struggled with mask leaks in the beginning and my pressure was seven when first diagnosed- hardly enough to feel. Stress ...

Re: Ever had anything creepy happen like a spider up the hose?
Do check out the link Pugsy posted. I remember a thread where someone did find a spider in the hose. There was a discission about using a panty hose over the end of the connector.

Re: Frustrated.. But not giving up.. Sleep Study again
traveling Utz, I agree this is an imsomnia issue/sleep issue which may impact your machine use and success. As Pugsy said it's worthwhile to look at results from the software in any case. The books she recommended are fine books. Just visiting the section for sleep medicines in the drugstore you can...

Re: Sleeping with CPAP
You want to correct an improper mask size or fit ASAP. I know it sounds simplistic, but review sleep hygiene. If you're not getting into REM and the deep stages of sleep your body does not repair the damages from the day.
Good luck,

Re: I need to change masks
I just bought ResMed Soft Gel nasal mask. It's convertable and comes with an Activa LT cushion. It's a great mask, very comfortable and I have very little problem with leaks and no sore places in the morning. I alternate with my Quattro FX FFM when my nose is stopped up.
Good luck,

Re: redesigned my leaking mask
You know it's said necessity is the mother of invention. I, too, have all sorts of mask parts lying around and try to keep one mask as a spare. My experimention on my Quattro FFM resulted in a broken mask. I was trying to get rid of the hard plastic frame that ruined the bridge of my nose. ResMed so...

Re: I'm gonna try CPAP Mode tonight
You've been on the forum for a while so have valuable experience, no harm in experimenting a bit. My preference would be straight CPAP for a pressure of 12, though that's a bit high for EPAP for some folks. That pressure doesn't bother me on CPAP. With your experience (based on your time on the foru...

Re: First night with ASV, need help interpreting data
I never base anything on one nights data. I started on ASV one year ago and gave it six months to a year before I expected full benefit. It takes time for your body to adjust. Don't despair. I know what it's like to get a new prescription and want to wake up the next morning with positive results, f...

Hang in there. You have some really bad health problems, but you're working to keep them in check and improve your health. Keep up the good work. I hope you continue to see good results from your efforts. About the constipation- I take a couple of meds that really cause me to be constipated. I find ...

Re: CPAP Pressures & Centrals
What is your total AHI? I personally would not be overly concerned with that number of centrals. Do you feel ok? I still believe that the only way to accurately diagnose central is with an EEG in the sleep lab, though the newer machines do a good job detecting "clear airway events". Back to your ori...
