Re: Strange Chest Pain
Yes, lets hope your doctor determines that its nothing serious! When I first started CPAP, I did experience some "chest pains" in certain areas between the ribs, similar to a light muscle strain. I would notice a mild sensation particularly when I took a deep breath and always in the same place. It ...

Re: Quattro FX -- Please post feedback on it
Is it tight due to the membrane or to the straps? Lots of people have complained the straps are too small (not for me, though). I have a narrow nose bridge, so it doesn't feel tight to me. It feels pretty comfortable, which is why I am bummed that it is leaking. No, the straps are not too tight, I ...

Re: Quattro FX -- Please post feedback on it
SU, you are right, I will try moving the mask up. Still feels tight though on the nasal bridge. Guess its supposed to be to prevent leaks. In this position though, the mask just barely touches the depression between the mouth and the chin...sigh. I wish they had a size between small and medium.

Re: Quattro FX -- Please post feedback on it
Well last night was my first night with the Quattro fx. Leak rate was 0.06. The headgear was okay, straps were not too tight. I could put at least 2 fingers under each of them. Well, I woke up this morning with light marks on each side of my mid nasal bridge, similar to what you get when wearing gla...

Re: Quattro FX -- Please post feedback on it
I just received my small Quattro fx. I measure 1/4 of the way between the small and the medium on the gauge. The upper portion of the mask does feel a little tight on my nose bridge, mid bridge that is. It really feels like the mask should be just a touch larger, but I think the medium would be too ...

Re: Irritation from taping-help!!
I used to tape all of the time....but got to where you are. Currently I'm using a simple $1 boil & bite mouthguard from WalMart's sporting goods section. I don't know what it is, but it works! I think I kinda chew on it overnight........... It's been an answer for me, that I much prefer over taping...

Re: padacheek products
I bought several padacheek products as I was adding to my mask collection. Lets see I have: -4 pairs of Hybrid mask strap covers; 2 in micro fleece and 2 in cotton -2 pairs of strap covers for my Opus 360 -1 pair of nose bridge protectors for my FF Flexifit 431 (they come in a set of 2) -1 pair of s...

Re: Irritation from taping-help!!
I have just gone back to taping along with the Swift fx, alternating with the Opus 360. Here are some tips which work for me: Try to use the least amount of tape you can get away with. Make sure that you roll your lips inwards before applying the tape. This helps to create a better seal and you can ...

Obus Forme "T" PAP pillow
Hi, Has anyone tried this bed pillow? Apparently you can use it with the "T" above or below your head. It seems to have extra height to support the neck, which is good, and something which many CPAP pillows don't have. Comments? http://www.2care4medical.com/index.cfm?page=Obusforme_Products&eProduct...

Re: Men-- new Nasal Pillow Mask from Resmed out now
I wonder if the side bars on the mask will leave morning marks on the cheeks. I tend to mark up easily.

Re: Software for the F&P Icon Premo To Track Data
Also, why would the DME charge me to see my own medical report? That makes no sense since I can go to my doctors and sign a paper and get ANY medical information copied for me. Scripps does charge for a CD, but the cost is $5.00. I would think it would be illegal for them to withhold my request or ...

Re: Software for the F&P Icon Premo To Track Data
There is a way to get into the clinician's menu to change the pressure, or so I believe. The problem I have is that without the software, I cannot print out my efficacy data to show my sleep doc. I would have to pay a DME each time I needed a printout, if I did not buy a machine through them. But th...

Re: How often do you check your efficacy data?
I also check my data daily on the lcd screen of my apap. It's the first thing I do when I wake up. I reach over and check my data, then remove my mask and then get up. My travel machine does not have efficacy data and I really must admit to missing this ritual when I travel. It has been many months ...
