Re: Sleep apnea , allergies and asthma
Hello Kishore and welcome to the forum, I've never heard that untreated sleep apnea causes lung inflammation all by itself. What I have read is that there is appears to be a relationship between asthma and untreated sleep apnea. In other words, asthmatics are more likely to have sleep apnea too. In ...

Re: Reoccurring issues with the blower
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Sorry about the issues you faced with the Nuance Pro Mask. We have had the full face mask since pretty much from the beginning and my husband think it works better for him. That being said, I still don't know if he is a mouth or nose snorer. Cou...

Here's the link to the F20 sizing pdf if you don't already have it https://www.resmed.com/us/dam/documents ... er_eng.pdf .
I use the Airfit F20 most nights. My pressures are 18/14.

Re: Reoccurring issues with the blower
Thanks so much. This is very kind of you! We are really at our wits end. Once again they will take the machine this week so see if they can find a fault. My dh is using a full face mask. Out of your experience having tried both, which would you say is the 'quieter' and of course more effective opti...

Re: Reoccurring issues with the blower
Hi Taheerah, I am sorry you are having such problems. I run a humidifier and/or air purifier at night which helps drown out any machine noise. I too use a snuggle hose. I wouldn't say my machine is overly loud, but I do notice a difference in sound based upon the mask I am using (full face mask vs. ...

Re: Pad a cheeck AirFit/AirTouch F20 mask liners?
Perhaps it's your soclean that's degrading the mask fast, whereas people that didn't buy one, get longer life out of their equipment. Ozone is bad for silicone, after all. That may be. I have seen no study either way. I'd appreciate seeing the one you are referring to. "study" for what? A study sho...

I have been using the F20 since they first came out with it... ...Another poster said monthly replacements are BS... that is the correct assessment. My DME at Mayo Clinic gave me a chart with the suggested replacement time by which insurance or Medicare will pay for new CPAP accessories, and that i...

I too used them once, because the price was dirt cheap. They parted out a complete Nuance Gel Nasal Pillow Mask kit to sell me a large cushion so the packaging was different than what my usual supplier sells. The cushion smelled a bit weird. I won't use them again. eww. maybe the smell was the reas...

Re: Need some guidance please (newbie)
Don't assume that a deviated septum will prevent using a nasal mask...it all depends on how bad the deviation is. See what Perrybucksdad has to say about that here. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/p663440/Mouth-Breathers.html#p663440 I had to just about twist his arm off to even try a nasal mask ...

Re: How to know when to change the mask and other accessories.
My machine operates at higher pressures, so I do replace my cushion every 30 days or so. I can tell when it is time, when the leaks get unmanageable. I haven't felt the need to replace the mask itself or the headgear yet, and its going on 10 months. Just normal cleaning and hot water when the headge...
