Re: SO FRUSTRATED I NEED HELP PLEASE!

Peacenana I too used a PR machine for years, although mine was the 60 series. I now have (thanks to LSAT and Pugsy) a Resmed autoset, believe me the sound is WAY different than on the PR. My PR kinda made a grinding sound that drove me nuts, and I am deaf in one ear  . My new autoset is total...

Yay!!! Coming along, you will soon be in your dream home and enjoying the view over the strait to sunny Victoria.

We've built 7 homes over the years, so I certainly know your frustrations waiting and waiting to get moved in.

Re: Help Needed: Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle 600

I have an old 604 that I only use when There is a power outage ----- easy set up to battery, no special cord required. Here it is: Press right pointing arrow and left pointing arrow together for 3 second to step to "options'. once in, go to pressure and press either up or down, whichever you need. T...

Re: low pressure with 0 AHI

Tranquilsky No, pressures are not set by the number of events, they are set by how much pressure will stop the ahi's. For instance someone might have an ahi of 60, and the pressure needed to keep the airway open is 7 or 8. On the other hand, someone that had 16 event needs a pressure much higher. It...

Re: Removing odor from a machine.

Try running the unit outside or at an open window for several hours...Then change the filter. Yes, wash it out and run it dry for several hours. I don't know when it was last used, and the air inside is likely "stale." That is idiotic, Any "stale" air inside the machine is flushed out within a *sec...

Re: virtual Sleep appointment today, random questions

Yes, I manage my own therapy and have for the over 10 years. My pulmonologist "suggested" I needed to have another sleep test a couple of years ago , I told him, no thanks but if he needed to see how well I was doing, I would bring in copies of my results for him to look at. Needless to say, he said...

Re: how to change humidity on Autoset 10

Thanks a million, Zonker I knew one of you would set me straight. I used to live on the south end of Vancouver Island facing you  I loved the weather, especially when it would rain during night and be super beautiful during the day... lots of days lounging on the beach and paddling in the stra...

Re: Canadian Online Mask trial supplier

Paul, I have been buying masks for over 10 years, mostly in Canada and have not found any that have a return policy. You could always ask them when you call. We used to exchange masks on here when one didn't suit us and we wanted to try another type, I've traded with lots of the members here...........

how to change humidity on Autoset 10

I need to turn my humidity down from 4 to 3, but can't figure it out. I know I must have it set wrong but when I go into the clinicians menu, humidity setting does not show up. Everything else is super, I love my new autoset, the change from PR (7 years) to Resmed has been NO problem... I've even ha...

Re: OT -- does anyone know anything about heart attacks?

I've had 3 minor ones starting about age 56. Haven't had a problem since. My scare was that my Dad, Grandfather and Uncle (Dad's brother) all had massive heart attacks in their early fifties and passed away. Damned if I was the one that had to inherit the heart problems, but times and care have chan...

Re: Airsense 10 and Phillips Dreamstation for sale PRICES LOWERED

I recently bought a used Resmed autoset 10 with only 64 hours of use...... only paid $410 from member LSAT. A few years ago I bought a used PR from a forum member with 200 hours on it for only $60. As others have stated ... your prices are way too high for machines with that many hours. And a note t...

Re: Changing mask?

Just call them and tell them what you want, and NO you do not need a new rx. If you don't know what you want, just go to cpap.com and take a look at all of the choices, there is also a section that will let you read others likes or dislikes. Cpap.com is the sponsor of this forum and a great place fo...

Re: Ot-virus memes.

ends up to be a very good story at the end. A friend of my sons was driving home from work last week and saw a dog chained to a tree along the highway. Being a dog lover( She has 2) she got out of her car to investigate. She found a note attached to her collar and a small bag of dog food at her feet...
