heated humidification
Lana is so right about there being no such thing as a silly question in this therapy. Most people do find that heated humidification makes using a cpap more comfortable. It's one thing to breathe room temperature or even cool air normally through your nose. It's quite another thing to have that air ...

That's great to hear!
Good for you, Kris! It's certainly worth the struggle and adjustments when you can see good results, isn't it? I truly think that the right mask is half the battle. I was lucky in that I felt better the very first morning after using cpap despite waking up often to deal with a leaky "first mask". I ...

air flow sound
Since you said your husband mentioned "air flow sound", possibly the noise is coming from the exhaust air from your mask hitting a pillow, blanket, or the mattress; rather than from the machine itself. If you are turned on your side away from him, there could be some question about exactly where the...

Where are the men with beards?
reubkov, I have to admit to not having a beard or mustache...I'm yet another woman answering your post. Where are the guys? The Breeze is extremely popular with good reason. It suits a lot of people, mustache or not. I think you'd be surprised at how comfortable it is. As Edie pointed out, the hose ...

420G
The Puritan Bennett Goodknight 420 G is, as Paul said, a very small straight cpap machine that you can attach a separate humidifider to. I have the same small size machine in an autopap - the PB Goodknight 420 E . The separate humidifier I use with it is the Fisher and Paykel HC150 heated humidifier...

new Oracle 452
I bought the new Oracle 452 from cpap.com. It's much, much better than the original design, which I tried unsuccessfully earlier this year. F&P corrected almost all the things I had not liked about the old Oracle - they removed the clumsy "tongue guide" and added a handy dial to adjust the snugness ...

aussie heated hose
If bedhead's and Titrator's good suggestions help, but don't totally solve the condensation problem of warm moisturized air traveling up through a cold hose (even a well wrapped hose) here's something else that a lot of people swear by. They order a heated hose from this online store in Australia an...

a good old general practitioner
I would look high and low for a good old family physician who might be caring enough to just write you a prescription. Perhaps you or someone you know is acquainted with a nurse, or with someone who works in a hospital, or with a receptionist... anyone with any ties at all to the medical profession ...

backing off on exhalation
Does PB have any plans for designing an autopap that can back off on each exhalation? Kind of like an autopap/bi-pap hybrid.

questions
Lance, what machine do you have (brand/model), what mask, what is your prescribed pressure, do you have a heated humidifier, and how long have you been using the machine? I'm not a doctor or health care professional of any kind, but that kind of information might help others give you some suggestions.

recording pulse oximetry
In addition to the way it works so well for me, I love the compact size of my Puritan Bennett 420E autopap. Does PB have any plans to add recording pulse oximetry capability to a future design?
