Re: OT: Tragic Shooting.

Gads, but I AM a selfish, self-centered witch. I expected to watch the Patriots game at 8:30 - instead they are covering President Obama's memorial visit for the shooting victims. Grrrrrrrr! I've been watching the events closely since coverage first started but now its Sunday night and the Patriots ...

Re: Rescan Summary report question

You have your Patient record open, you select Review. The default page comes up w/the default Viewing Range option of 1 day. Put your cursor on the arrow tip at the end of 1 day and scroll up one notch to Custom. Click on Custom. A date appears in the next two boxes to the right. Click on each one t...

Re: what is the next step?

Hang your hose above your head. THAT is one of the best things you can do to protect the bridge of your nose. Hanging the hose above your head drastically reduces the tug of the hose on your mask and mask fit. A piece of Dr Scholl's moleskin across the bridge of the nose can help. Pushing the mask u...

Re: Is this ok?

Well, at least you have an idea how a few drinks affect your sleep and your OSA. Your S9 can provide a little more pressure than your pressure setting w/o actually setting the pressure higher, but obviously the pressure setting would have had to have been set higher to compensate for that particular...

Re: Rescan Summary report question

I have no experience w/the S9s, only w/the S8s, but if you've been doing regular downloads to ResScan from your S9 for the last 90 or more days then the info is there in ResScan and you can prepare a 90 day report and print it out. Or 3 30 day reports. Or, if you've done daily downloads, even 90 dai...

Re: Letter to Resmed.

I would mention again that the Resmed S7 Malibu is an OLD model Resmed and it is NOT as fully data capable as the NEWER Respironics M Series and Resmed S8s. It is NOT the Resmed software, it is the age of the S7 and its limited capabilities. Full data capability is relatively new in the history of C...

Re: Letter to Resmed.

Purple, most of the problems you are discussing re: your surgery and hospital stay are the direct result of hospital staff ignorance. I remember a hospital stay, I'd brought my CPAP, Respiratory came down to administer a nebulizer treatment. Somehow, at that point, Respiratory wasn't even aware that...

Stormy, I've heard of people going thru a second childhood but it seems you have carried that to an uncomfortable extreme!!

Its good to read you are starting to mend.

Re: Red Light

Aw, come on!!! I remember my aunt having a chamber pot in each bedroom for the kids in their old farm house. Since I was one who always woke up once a night in the middle of the night and needed to piddle I sure appreciated that chamber pot. Especially during the winter! They were all good looking a...

Re: OT: Tragic Shooting.

Did you all hear the lead policeman (Vance ??) say that they were placing one trooper at each victim's family's home to protect their privacy and suggested that the media allow the families that privacy? For crying out loud there were "reporters" interviewing children who had been in the school duri...

Okay, so don't begrudge the shareholders. Its the CEO pay, the gap between workers and CEO compensation, that disturbs me.

OT: The American Pay Gap

... The total number of people employed in the U.S. at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and McDonald’s and Yum Brands restaurants exceeds the entire 2.7 million population of Chicago. Net income at those three companies has jumped by at least 22 percent from four years ago. ... Shareholders, not employees, hav...

I also do not understand a problem w/breathing thru the mouth w/a full face mask. I've used the Resmed Mirage Quattro, the ProBasic Zzzz Mask and can mouth breathe thru either. I'm currently using the Resmed Quattro FX which I very much like and can breathe thru mouth or nose as w/the Mirage Quattro...

Re: OT: Tragic Shooting.

... Guns have been around since long before the founding of this nation, and they have been, if anything, more available and less restricted than they are today. And until fairly recently, these kinds of tragedies have been almost unheard of. So what is it that has changed? What is causing nut jobs...

Re: Employer is stepping up or is Big brother???

I wouldn't even be in that position as I don't hunger for power, nor lots of money. I have simple tastes and like the simple life. I have no desire to keep up w/the Jones'. I was never susceptible to "peer pressure" because I have a strong sense of me and I like me as I am and I have no desire to be...
