Re: Resmed Aircurve V10 Auto Stopped Working - what should I buy?

OK. looks like its the blower which won't switch on. The machine does have power and the display lights up. I haven't detected any burning smell so I guess it's a small electronic component that's failed. I'll try and get it repaired but for now I need a replacement machine. Second Wind has both the...

Resmed Aircurve V10 Auto Stopped Working

This happened last night and all I did at the time was plug in my backup which is the S9 version. I was thinking that it could be the power brick but on arriving home I see that's got a green light and my V10 turns on. Before I buy a replacement, is there a reset switch somewhere that will send the ...

Re: DreamWisp vs N/P30i or DreamWear

OK, I've gone and ordered the Dreamwisp from an Australian supplier for $AUS185.00. For the last six months I've had an annoying rash on the side of my face which consists of slightly itchy and scaly skin. I went and saw my doctor last week and 7 days of oral steroids did nothing to fix it (though m...

Re: Question re:Bi-level machine RX requirements and other things

The machine Pugsy posted is an absolute bargain but I can understand you wanting to get something brand new because of Covid. I decided to put myself on BiPAP simply for comfort and it was the best move I ever made. While I don't really need BiPAP it won't hurt me. When I required an Rx I simply wen...

DreamWisp vs N/P30i or DreamWear

I'm always on the lookout for a new thing and stumbled across the DreamWisp while searching the web. I currently have the P30i and also have the nasal cushions for it which I use occasionally when the inside of my nose gets a little sore. It's a great mask but If I had one complaint it's that it lea...

Re: Changing BiPAP Settings

What is happening to cause the breaks in therapy? A need to urinate? Getting up for some other reason? Or?? Thanks for everyone's input. Initially, I would wake feeling breathless and I wondered if my mitral valve issue was a possible cause. My cardiologist says no and he's the expert. I'm going to...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

Hello PR. It's been quite a while since I've posted and I've started a thread because I've been having issues, one of them being a feeling of breathlessness. The first sentence you wrote that I've bolded may just have provided a large part of the answer to my issues so thank you. BUT the op here do...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

What IS important is the minimum. that's what holds your airway open, if the minimum is too low, then your airway will close up and you won't be able to take another breath. However, all that happens when you lower the maximum is that you keep the machine from going high enough to keep your airway ...

Re: Changing BiPAP Settings

Hello All I've attached three different nights. The one from August is a good one. In the others you can see the broken nights sleep though it's not the worst. Is there a graph I should have included? EDIT: Based on what Pale Rider said in another thread, I've raised the EPAP to 11.0, set the IPAP a...

Changing BiPAP Settings

It's been a long time since I posted After getting a BiLevel machine a few years ago and making adjustments to get optimal settings, I settled into a long period of good nights of sleep. However, over the last year or so, sleep has not been quite as good and is deteriorating. Daytime fatigue has als...

Re: Has your quality of life improved much after using CPAP machines?

This post by Muse-Inc basically sums up what PAP therapy has done for me Improved in every single way I can think of. I am rated as severe. Improvements started by 3rd week. No longer feeling like the walking dead, I noticed birds singing, sunshine and how good it felt, and I was smiling again. My s...

Re: Inhaling much faster with VAUTO. Why?

Your Ti max setting will probably be the issue. What you set this to decides when the machine thinks you should be exhaling. OP said they already set TiMax to 4. I'm actually leaning towards erroneous reporting from the autoset, or at least something strange going on over there. I didn't read that ...

Re: Inhaling much faster with VAUTO. Why?

Your Ti max setting will probably be the issue. What you set this to decides when the machine thinks you should be exhaling. I had this issue when I got my VAuto and I increased the default Ti max until it felt right. For me it's 2.5 seconds. I left the Ti min as it was. (The default setting for Ti ...
