Re: 5YO with CPAP-Itching and masks comes off during sleep
You should see the ortho now. My granddaughter had an expander put in her mouth when she was 6 or maybe 7. She just turned 8 last week. It is widening her mouth to make room for her teeth. Not an OSA problem, but the time to do it is when they are growing.

Re: How does Denver (altitude and pollution) affect OSA
I guess it is terribly impractical, but everyone who uses CPAP would be better off if they lived seaside. The greater density of the air is a big help. Even small changes in elevation make a big difference. My house is at 700 feet. Every summer I stay a couple of weeks with my sister who lives on t...

Re: How does Denver (altitude and pollution) affect OSA
Can you still smell the stock yards in Greely from miles away? lol, you've gotta be fairly close to Greeley to smell it. When we drove from Denver to Ft. Collins, we had to hold our breath for several miles when we passed Greeley. And during the stock show, we could smell the cows all the way down ...

Are you sure it is pointing to the drive the card is in and not to the files?

Re: How does Denver (altitude and pollution) affect OSA
Would it be feasible to live in the Denver area but not actually in Denver? I'd think you'd avoid a lot of pollution and still be close to your family. I envy those who live anywhere near the mountains. NW, not necessarily possible. When we do have a bad air day, the brown cloud can have a long rea...

Re: How does Denver (altitude and pollution) affect OSA
However, I did quite drinking it 2 days ago. The past two nights, I have awakened 5 or 6 times each night with my mouth very dry and open. My AHI went from < 2 up to 6. I am trying the lowcarb diet and gave up my beloved DrPepper. My Zeo scores are pretty nice. In the 75-85 range. More wakeups with...

Re: Weight loss advice!?! - join in the fun
When I began to feel better, I gained weight. I felt like cooking, but any amount of excercise left me snoozing all afternoon. I am trying the low carb way of eating so I will, hopefully, feel like moving soon.

Re: How does Denver (altitude and pollution) affect OSA
I feel a little better, but not great. Two different questions. - Are you keeping up with your data using SleepyHead and if so how effective or ineffective does it show your therapy to be? - Do you drink Dr. Pepper? It has 41 mg caffeine per 12 oz. serving. I always recommend that CPAPers completel...

How does Denver (altitude and pollution) affect OSA
I have two daughters and I would like to live closer to one of them. Currently I am in Seattle, one is in Dallas and the other and my sister are in Denver. The daughter in Dallas moves every few years and is hard to keep up with. The one in Denver hasn't moved. I used to live in Denver from 1988 to ...

Re: cpap.com packing = bad luck
My desk used to face the UPS garage exit. I have seen a truck pull out of the garage with the back doors open. Packages fell out and were run over by the truck behind it. Another time I received a package with tire tracks on it. And then there are the youtube videos of packages being delivered. One ...

Re: ZEO WARS - Whats your highest score?
My best is a 106. It was during the kids Spring Break. I didn't have to get up at 7 every morning to get them off to school. http://i1051.photobucket.com/albums/s421/DrPepper001/ScreenHunter_01Apr140842.jpg My overall average isn't bad either. My worst nights were when the headband didn't record all...

Re: brand new user, I feel like I can't breath
I sleep with my hose under the covers and hold it like RobySue does. My breakthrough came when someone suggested putting the chin strap on after the mask. It keeps the pillows from moving by putting pressure on the cheek straps. If I can hear any air moving, I know the pillows are at maximum seal an...

Re: Need Input
Here in Washington, we hardly ever need a/c so I didn't want to permantly block my window. I bought a portable a/c that vents out the window. It can be installed in a slider window and the vent is easily removed when an open window is preferred. Click on more views under the picture to see how the v...
