Re: My unit shut itself off

My guess is.......along the lines of what DreamDiver suggested. Many machines have a setting that will shut down the machine on a large extended mask leak. It thinks you've taken your mask off (mask leak alert) and then shuts down the machine. These settings can be turned On or Off. I've always had ...

Re: VPAP S VS VPAP auto 25

Hi gang- I am very new to this all, but I plan to be an active member of this community as I learn about my health and my treatment. Here is my question for today. Two weeks ago I completed a sleep study and was given a VPAP S machine. It seams to be working okay I guess. I sleep all night and it d...

Re: System One REMstar Auto w/ A-Flex or S9 for RERA & hypopnea

Would you also agree that straight cpap would be a better idea? Some thoughts....... You may not know what works best for you until you try any number of options (pressures, pressure ranges, humidity settings, etc.). Having an APAP/Auto at least allows you to have more options to try.......which is...

Re: System One REMstar Auto w/ A-Flex or S9 for RERA & hypopnea

In my sleep study I didn't have any apneas only hypopneas and RERA's (some snoring) . Is either one of these machines both auto better for treating and/or recording them in their algorithms? Thanks for the help -M Could be that you'd be as well or better off with using straight pressure.......and i...

Re: Do you remember your dreams after several years on Pap?

I wonder where you were going?? If I remember correctly, I think I was trying to get home. This one may have been influenced to some degree by the fact that I was looking up some information last night about these machines that they've been advertising alot on TV lately. My wife was bugging me to f...

Re: Has anyone experienced this....

Ive been on the machine for a couple of week, they set the pressure range from 5-17. My prescribed pressure is 10 . thanks for your help. Have you ever tried a straight pressure of 10 cm.? If not, I'd strongly suggest you do so before screwing around with a range of pressures. Whoever set up your m...

Re: I just washed my mask and I can't do a THING with it!

What gives???? I washed my Quattro (cushion) on Wednesday night and put it all back together. I've checked to make sure that everything is snapped together correctly 10 times at least, but the mask is leaking at the top of my nose like a son of a gun . I cannot get it to seal, even with my Padachee...

Re: Do you remember your dreams after several years on Pap?

Sometimes I remember them and sometimes I'm just aware that I've been dreaming. Had one this morning that I can still remember bits and pieces of. I was at a gas station trying to fill up my motorcycle (chopper style) but some other people had the lanes blocked and it didn't seem like they were goin...

For many people, too much humidity can make nasal congestion worse. I would suggest turning the humidification way down or Off and do nasal cleansing before bedtime. Cooler air helps keep the nasal passages open during sleep.

My pressure is 9. even tho that's not very high, lots of air is getting into my gut. do i need a bi-level machine? Are you using EPR? If so, what setting? So I am only a few weeks into using my cpap machine. But, I would like to be able to monitor my sleep cycles daily by using the smartstick on my F&P primo icon cpap machine. Can anyone tell me if there is a down loadable program that would allow me to see this information? Yes, there does appear to...
