Re: Please help me figure out this camping battery stuff
The best power to price option is, as Archangle said, a wet cell deep cycle battery. How many nights will you be camping? I think with your CPAP you can probably get 4 or more nights from a 115 amp-hr deep cycle. The overall lowest cost and least troublesome approach is to buy one battery for every ...

Re: OT: Need prayers
Blackspinner, I'm so sorry to read of your troubles. I know it sounds awfully trite, but all you can do is hang in there. Here are a couple of thoughts from my experiences. First, keep in mind that the father you have today is not the same person as the father you have enjoyed knowing your whole lif...

Re: OT: Daily Funny bone
You've all heard of the Serenity Prayer. Well, here is the old folks version!
Senility Prayer
God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do,
and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Re: Low Oxygen while on CPAP
I've never heard of his explanation, but out of curiosity - is he a pulmonologist, neurologist, or ?? Here's his credentials as listed on the med group web site: Cary Jackson, MD Education: University of Alabama School of Medicine Residency: USAF Medical Center, Keesler AFB Fellowship: Wilford Hall...

Low Oxygen while on CPAP
I had an appointment with a new sleep doc today. Had no choice since Medicare demands a periodic new prescription to keep paying for supplies and I didn't like the NP I saw the last two times at the previous sleep doc office. Anyway as part of the exam he looked at my lower legs and commented about ...

Re: Update on Mike
Sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Think on this. The depth of sorrow and grief you feel is a direct measure of the depth of love you two shared. You loved deeply, you will hurt deeply, and I'm sure you already have for many months. But time does heal all wounds. I think the best words I can share are...

Re: DME changed settings over modem?!?!
So my doctor changed my prescription, and the DME used the cell modem in my unit to make the changes. I am now worried about this, because it's possible that someone could hack into their system and change my settings in the middle of the night! Let me put it rather crassly. Unless you have known e...

Re: Best tapes to seal lips for mouth breather
Lol!!! Seriously to this thread? Sounds absolutely crazy to me... Taping your mouth shut. There has to be a better way!!! I for one will give you a pass since you are new to the board! I've been doing it for two years +. If I didn't I'd have leak rates that make a leaf blower seem tame! I've found ...

Re: OT: Tapatalk users take note!
Thank you all for the heads up. Having seen some "push" for the product, I had been tempted. . . The general consensus is that version 4.9.5, for Android, was the last really usable version put out, although many say it wasn't as clean and easy to use as previous versions. If you're familiar with l...

Tapatalk has now done it to iOS users!
The crap version of Tapatalk has now been rolled out to the iOS community. If you use an Apple device turn off auto updates until you decide if you want to plunge into the cesspool or not. iOS users, join the chorus at the Tapatalk Community who are having a virtual burning at the stake of the TT de...

Re: OT: Tapatalk users take note!
I had it wrong. Installing from the apk does not prevent Play Store from knowing you have it installed. You need to go your app list at the Play Store and uncheck automatic updates in order to keep Google from downloading the crap version without asking.

Re: OT: Tapatalk users take note!
Apparently it was the security breach, not the negative tone, that got my ID and posting deleted. I guess they deleted everything from the past few days. I'm back on the TT forum. I found a solution to the issue of the botched up user interface. I deleted version 4.10.1, found and downloaded the apk...

Re: OT: Tapatalk users take note!
I think I got their attention, at least to some degree. The message I posted on the Tapatalk users forum raising this issue, and the poll I had in the thread, were deleted as was my user account! That is a first for me, being booted off a forum. Somebody inside Tapatalk had to have gotten the messag...

OT: Tapatalk users take note!
Tapatalk has just been updated to version 4.10.1. It's horrible, to say the least. Reviewers on Google Play Store and Tapatalk User forum are decrying the latest changes. If you don't like it join me in sending an email to the only email addresses I find for Tapatalk. If you haven't checked it out y...

Re: OT: Daily Funny bone
This reminds me of the two brothers, one a veterinarian and the other a taxidermist, who shared a building for their businesses.
