Re: Chat Forum
n2it, based on your subsequent comments the underlying premise of your question in the OP is mistaken. You make reference to chats available on corporate websites and then ask why no one is on the one here. Well, the simple answer is this web site does not represent nor is it an instrument, of any c...

Re: converter vs inverter battery setup
2) Do 2 x 12 batteries in series, get a cord with the correct barrel connector to go in the S10. I would strongly advising you put in a regulator for this Something like this. I just assumed 24V, 90W(?) so that's about 3.75 AMP http://www.ebay.com/itm/Automatic-Boost-Buck-Converter-CC-CV-5-30V-To-1...

Re: Questions for Nasal Pillow Users
I want to tape my lips, but if air get in, have to find a way to get out. No, it does not. Air will get into your mouth simply because of the way the nose and mouth are connected together. I tape my mouth because air pressure also pushes my lips open. But with the tape air pressure builds up only t...

Re: Medicare CPAP costs
Anyone clue me in on what it would cost to begin CPAP therapy via my Medicare Part C coverage? I did some looking around, and it appears to be 20% of Medicare's cost, but I don't have any dollar figures. I really need to know what my monthly costs would be so I can budget correctly, for the device ...

Re: Distilled Water Shortage
I always worried about the varmints that lived in the well or fell in, but in the end it didn't matter the water was cold and tasty. Jim I don't think the well water I drank as a kid would have ever passed the health department tests. Actually, all the bad stuff in the water is what helped me to ha...

Re: My dr. not contracted with DME, so they won't fill his rx?
Good luck! I'm working on buying my own. Insurance will cover a rental, but not the purchase. I'm going to try to talk sense into them. Never know, it might work. There's a good possibility that if you rent it for a year it becomes yours. That's the way it works for DME like your CPAP machine. Insu...

Re: Distilled Water Shortage
old thread Well, vwayland did say it's been two years now so obviously he knew it was an old thread. Sometimes an old thread is worth resurrecting. I suspect in those areas where several stores are out of DW it's probably because they all get it from the same bottler/processor. Water is one of thos...

Re: My dr. not contracted with DME, so they won't fill his rx?
DME #1 is Bennett, who provided services to me, and did not disclose to me that they're out of network. I totally agree that I failed to do my homework on using this DME. I'm sharing the blame with Bennett on this one. Bennett is in Idaho also, and I think Utah. I switched to them after my previous...

Re: OT Medicare supplement insurance
Was just curious if anyone was willing to share what they pay for supplemental insurance with their Medicare when they only have Medicare part A. I think my sister and her husband are paying way too much money and I haven't yet been able to convince them to shop around. They are getting their insur...

You said..."She is a very light sleeper. A bit spoiled and very particular on how she sets up her pillows, etc. before going to bed." She has no regard for your health...You need a Marriage Counselor Absolutely, 100% agree. That is beyond spoiled, that is just plain selfish! She needs to grow up! N...

Re: Sleepyhead vs Resscan
Good question. I saw a print out labelled ResScan Air. Is that different software? Why are you taking naps? Habit? Not sleeping enough hours at night? What little I saw this evening I think Resscan Air is connected to the wireless side of the AS10 and so probably is restricted to DME use. Naps! I g...

Re: Wean off CPAP?
Not in response to your question but a comment based on your misadventure. When you say you left your power cord are you referring to the cord from the power brick to the wall receptacle? If so there is a more economical alternative that everyone should keep in mind. Many boom boxes and other electr...

Sleepyhead vs Resscan
It's been a couple of years since I've spent very much time here so I'm wondering what are some of the latest improvements in SH, and how does it compare to Resscan now? In the past I think the aspects of SH that made it a favorite were price and ease of use. I believe it lagged some behind Resscan ...
