What would happen if oxygen disappeared for 10 seconds worldwide?
What would happen if oxygen disappeared for 10 seconds worldwide? Well, first of all, we probably wouldn't die from suffocation since most of us can hold our breath for 10 seconds. But there would be other more or less serious consequences: The ozone layer would disappear, exposing us to UV rays fo...

Re: Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and RSV Vaccine
I'm keeping each of the three fall vaccines (COVID, flu, RSV) two week apart. I would like to know the side effects, if any, of each. Next year, I might do them all together. I'm also going to the gym and lifting weights after each vaccine. There's a study, that says more antibodies are built by doi...

Re: Melatonin Dosage
I have a special pill cutter - not one you'd find at the Rx... A friend went out of the jewellery (mgf) bus. long, long ago and I ended up with 2 little (4" long) tools - one's like scissors with 2" long pointy ends - great for unblocking the salt sellar - and the other's got 1/2" sharp opposing cu...

Re: Melatonin Dosage
Been taking 0.3mg (300mcg) melatonin dose at night before bed for years now. Seems to help me to get to sleep, and makes it easier for me to go back to sleep. I did a lot of reading about it on the internet before starting to use it, and most suggested starting with .3mg and going up from there if ...

Re: Melatonin Dosage
I'm very active and almost never have problems falling asleep. My problem is premature awakening. After about four hours of sleep, the night gets dicey. The last two nights, I took 1.0 mg of melatonin when I awoke at 3:00 a.m. That worked. I slept until 6:00 a.m. However, I was groggy up until about...

Re: Best Time to Take Magnesium for Sleep?
For a few nights, the magnesium seemed to be helping. Then, it didn't. I did some more experiments taking it and not taking it. Conclusion: It doesn't help me and has been discontinued. I would think if you don't get enough in your diet, supplementation might help. How much magnesium is in your food...

Best Time to Take Magnesium for Sleep?
Google has several contradictory answers.
I started taking a 250 mg magnesium supplement daily for another reason. Nicely, it seems to also help with sleep. I've been taking it at random times and haven't figured out which time is best.
TIA!

Re: My Sleep Study Update
Apparently his doctor thinks Sanjay did not report on anything his doctor thinks or said. would put me through to the nurse practitioner. So I spoke to the practitioner. He most was apologizing and said I could have another sleep study Sanjay only reported speaking to a nurse practitioner. I've abo...

Re: Sleep Apnea Short term? Constructive recommendations only
I don't post here often, but this just needs to be corrected lest someone new to CPAP sees it and becomes discouraged. The machine forces air into the lungs and in all actuality the lungs are just in for the ride. We are only using 50% of what the lungs are designed for. I checked my pulse ox level ...

Re: ResMed AirSense 10 Side Plate - Unmuffled?
I have seen comments both ways. Personally I have never used the side plate. If I had to guess...louder. I got a side plate and have been using it for a few weeks. It's considerably louder than with an empty humidifier. But the sound doesn't bother my sleep. I'm looking forward to the smaller footp...
