Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
I am now wondering if you have had any power interruptions which could have caused your problems? Why was it that you uninstalled Encore? When you went to re-install Encore and it appeared locked - how did you get out of it? Did you have to pop the power? While the Installer was running? I know som...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
Well, Encore Pro 2 installed just fine in the Vista partition, the first time. I adjusted the time zone, added myself as a patient, and downloaded the data from my card. We'll see if it keeps on working or if it develops problems over time. It worked fine in the XP partition, too, for several days, ...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
I don't know if this is any help but will post just in case. I have Encore Viewer (same data as Encore Pro but no SQL) and ran is just fine with Windows Vista. Then I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. I had problems immediatley with Encore Viewer. I could not get the data from the smart ca...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
Are YOU logging on an Administrator acct.?? Or do you have some software to protect your machine?? I guess I overlooked replying to this yesterday, sorry. Yes, my only account on the computer is the Admisnistrator account. The only protection software on my computer that I am aware of is Zone Alarm...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
Edit: By the way, I made a number of System Restore points along the way, and I can't restore to any of them. I don't know why, but System Restore has never worked for me at all. I can choose a restore point, and it appears to be doing the restore, but after rebooting, it tells me that it wasn't ab...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
Well, at least I fixed the problem with Windows Installer. Thanks, Muffy, I did indeed have to re-register Windows Installer service, and now I can install programs again. I found that the path to the program for Windows Installer was incorrect in the registry, so I had to correct that, then re-regi...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
Just install Encore on another machine for now to take the stress out of this... It is that "Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" I was referring to. Sorry about that. Sounds like, to me, the chkdsk found some problems? Yea, it does sound like you have something else going on. Like spyware ...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
ps. Yea, I have heard that stinger tool may be needed to clean up the SQL stuff tho I have never used that either. Sorry, I don't know what you are referring to when you mention "that stinger tool". Clarification, please? I ran chkdsk and am now having problems trying to install a registry cleaner ...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
Thanks very much for the ideas. I didn't know there were free registry cleaners available and I didn't know about that Microsoft Uninstaller tool. I'll see if I can run Check Disk, clean the registry, and use that Microsoft tool, then I'll try once more to install Encore Pro 2. If all that fails, th...

Re: Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
Encore is always difficult to re-install. Luckily, I have never had to but will offer a couple of thoughts. 1. Is a restore point available? 2. Are you doing a reboot after removing ALL remnants of SQL? Thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately, no Restore Point is available. I had to turn off System Res...

Encore Pro 2 Software Problem
I installed Encore Pro 2 last week, after overcoming various problems, and it worked fine for a week or so. Then, this morning, when i was logging in, it froze my computer, after I entered the username and password. I had to turn the power off to recover. It did that several times in a row, so I uni...

Re: Clear Airway Apnea = Central Apnea?
[/quote] Barry, Am interested in what you thought of the Autoset-T in comparison to other & newer machines you have used. Aspects I am interested in are ... - how did it sound (quiet, noisy) - how easy was it to use - did you have a seperate pressure sensing line up to the mask (later Autoset-T mode...

Re: Clear Airway Apnea = Central Apnea?
Hi Barry15, I have the same machine and mask as you. When I switched from nasal pillows to the Quattro, my AHI (and pressures) went up quite a bit. In fact, for someone who has no formal apnea diagnosis, my apnea is not very well controlled (My AHI is often above 5)! Hello SleepingUgly, That is int...

Re: Two months on the hose. Dropped flex. Best scores ever.
Great thread. I used an Autoset T for 8 years, and one of the things I liked the best about it when I got it was the exhalation relief (compared to my Sullivan V). So, when I got my PR System One recently, I tried both the A-Flex and the C-Flex, figuring that they were the latest versions of exhalat...

Re: Clear Airway Apnea = Central Apnea?
Barry, How do the overall AHI numbers compare between the Autoset II and your new machine? In another thread I just started (having to do with puzzling AHI numbers I obtained from a Resmed Autoset II and a newly-acquired Respironics System One) I noted that in my case the AHIs reported by both have...
