Re: My son the trooper

Last night at midnight I came in. He had just been up, complaining about a headache, and he put the headgear back on a bit wrong. I fixed it and he said to me: "I'm trying to wear the CPAP all night for 7 days in a row. Then I'm going to try to do it again for 7 days in a row for your birthday, as ...

Re: Probably a silly ? from a newby

People have had some good thoughts but, before you count yourself out, you might want to check out the batterygeek website. They rent rechargeable lithium ion batteries, and portable rollup solar chargers. In any case, blessings to you for your desire to do good works.

Re: IntelliPap advance submenu settings

I would agree with Pugsy. Don't mess with the definition settings for apneas and hypopneas. According to standards, your AHI is fine (although people often say they feel better with even lower AHI). Your NRI (which basically means centrals) could be lower. I'd also be concerned with your EPI (which ...

Re: IntelliPAP "While Breathing Hours"

Could you post the actual report here? It might help in sorting this out for you. The numbers certainly don't make sense as "While Breathing Hours". They seem more like AHI, NRI, or EPI values to me. How long have you been using the machine? Could they be 1 day, 7 day, 30 day, and 90 day AHI values?

Re: IntelliPAP "While Breathing Hours"

While I agree that the wording is strange, I believe "while breathing" is as opposed to having the machine on but not wearing the mask. Those "while breathing hours" would be the ones that count toward compliance. (I guess to account for those who might think they could "cheat" by just having the ma...

Re: Noise in the cpap

It sounds to me like rainout in your CPAP hose. If the temperature has dropped in your area in the last few days, that could cause condensation of the moisture from your humidifier when it cools off in your hose (just like it did with your concentrator). If you don't already have a hose cover, you m...
