Re: Anyone with heart palpitations that got WORSE with CPAP????

I have PACs and PVCs since my two ablations for a-fib but they are better when my OAS is well controlled, not worse. Cardiologists are usually unconcerned with these kinds of palps but they can be uncomfortable. I take a very low dose of metoprolol, as needed, to iron them out and this works well. Y...

Re: How High Do You Fill You CPAP's Water Tank?

To the max fill line, then run it for 2 nights till it's almost empty.
Rinse out the tank and repeat the process.

Re: What's The Best Full Face Mask In Your Opinion?

I use both the P&K Simplus and the Resmed Quattro. Both are good. The Simplus is easiest to take off and on and very easy to clean. It is comfortable and doesn't leak. However, it doesn't hold my mouth closed very well so I swallow a lot of air which causes discomfort, sometimes quite bad. The Quatt...

Re: Airsense Autoset for Her....do you use the "Her" setting?

I switched mine to the "For Her" mode last night for the first time and am reporting back as I said I would. It felt the same but I got very good results. My AHI for last night was .47. My average AHI since getting this machine in early December is 1.54. The pressure graph looks different than befor...

I guess the point of the thread was to come with less "obvious" solutions...
I suspect there aren't any good ones.

Re: Cleaning Cpap??

I wash my mask every day to remove skin oils and any grunge on the inside of the seal at the bottom of the mask. I'm not a mouth breather but my mouth does drop open when I'm sleeping so it really does need daily washing. As for the hose, it gets water run through it when I think of it which isn't v...

Re: Airsense Autoset for Her....do you use the "Her" setting?

I recently purchased the For Her model and have used it for a couple of weeks on the regular setting. I am getting outstanding results so I have not been tempted to try the "For Her" setting but I will at some point and post back. By the way, I purchased this particular machine because the health ca...

Re: Has anyone hit a score of 100 in myAir?

My score is 100 almost every night. Only reason it's ever lower is when I remove the mask for any reason during the night. MyAir doesn't provide a lot of info but more than appears on the machine display.

Re: Need response--my doctor won't help

Sleep onset apneas can cause a person to be awakened repeatedly just as they are falling asleep. Once this starts to happen, anxiety makes it worse and it becomes a vicious circle. The onset central apneas are normal but the reaction to them is not. I had this problem too so I know how distressing i...

Re: Anyone love their chin strap?

I tried several chin straps in the early going and never found one that worked. All of them went in the garbage years ago.
Fortunately I have no problems with my full face masks but fully sympathize with those who can't make them work.

SleepyHead Question

I have recently loaded SleepyHead and have used it for a week on my Mac, reporting data from my new ResMed AutoSet For Her. In reading various threads on the forum I see references to periodic breathing along with graphs showing PB events flagged in the Event Flags graph. I do not see any reference ...

Re: AirSense Humidifier

I have more trouble opening the thing than I do removing it from the opening. I've only had it a few days though so I'll probably get better at it with practice.
