Re: Panic at thought of CPAP.

I am desperate to find some answers. I've been crying all day since my sleep study when they said they "found some evidence of apnea" I have very few symptoms of apnea, I'm not over weight, I snore very little (I was very sick when they did the study last night, so I snore when I'm sick!) I'm alway...

Re: Over what period of time does it take the body to fully...

Sleep wise it took me one night to start sleeping. Health wise it took about 3-4 months before I was as recovered as I could get (not falling a asleep watching tv, better memory, change in attitudes, much more energy) Just curious............Do you need naps? Never. And never took them either by ch...

Re: mild OSA but snoring?

I spoke to a tech. She said that an apnea is only considered a "real" event when the O2 fall below 3%. She said they actually see it happening when there is only snoring! And it happens often. More specifically without an apnea even the snoring alone can cause the O2 to go below it's previous readin...

Re: Have you ever replaced your 1st CPAP with a newer model?

I was using an APAP. On the suggestion of Pugsy I am now using a BIPAP. There was never any indication that a BIPAP would do any good....I just wanted to try it. I called http://www.secondwindcpap.com; Pale Rider showed me how to set it up. Purchased a Respironics - brand new for $884. Best thing I ...

Re: It amazes me on here

Pesser, I can identify with your smothering experience. --But mine was more positive. I was a tiny child, and my father's Army buddies, cowboys, etc. seemed driven to pick me up and flip me upside down--just to hear me squeal. As a result, I have a high tolerance to getting dizzy on carnival rides,...

Re: It amazes me on here

Take him to your bosom! and smother for all you're worth??? It’s the smother thing that is resulting in this: I have a fear of big women. Because when I was a child I was very cute. All women came to see me and mom (I started talking fluently in both French and English at 21 months) and they’d pick...
