Re: Resmed Activa lt
Hi, I use the Activa mask too (L) and even on the ResMed S9 which is supposed to give less rainout I do still get rainout. I guess it depends on the overall temperature in the room and whether it drops within the night. I tend to find I receive more rainout down the tube and into the mask if I put t...

1 month on the ResMed S9 and stats are much better
I've used the ResMed S8 AutoSet Spririt for the past 5 years and have had an average AHI of 4.5. Most of the AHI is made up of HI's being high, so the AI is averaged around 1.2. Like several of you that have switched to the S9 (I've been using it now for a month) my AHI has dropped to a staggering A...

Re: Resmed S9 Auto - 1st night photo summary
I noticed Bob that your H5i is the fully integrated reservoir that you can't pull apart and clean the insides of. The H5i I purchased (UK) is the one that comes apart. I really like this version of the reservoir because it allows you to fully clean every nook and cranny of the reservoir to dry it af...

Photos of H5i reservoir for the ResMed S9 that comes apart
I see that a lot of people that have purchased the ResMed S9 seem to have the fully integrated reservoir that you can't pull apart and clean the insides of. The H5i I purchased (UK) is the one that comes apart. I really like this version of the reservoir because it allows you to fully clean every no...

Re: irritation in upper lip
What I find wearing the Activa (I have an L), that the M was just a little too small and that the cushion rested more on the top of the upper lip. The L is a little larger and the active cushion I find rests more on the bottom part of the lip which is less sensitive and more moist and that doesn't i...

ResScan - is it possible to show which mask used per day?
Hi, I can't see if anywhere in ResScan where it shows the mask that the S9 was configured to use, e.g. Nasal or Full Face. Do you know if this is recorded each night and whether there's any way of getting at this data from within ResScan? I couldn't see it anywhere. http://www.daveburrows.com/cpap/n...

AHI's not always showing on ResScan graphs
Hi, this is a question out there to all you stats junkies. I've noticed looking over my stats that the AHI doesn't start to graph until half way into the night from the ResMed S9 and sometimes stops early. Is this because the AHI is 0.0 outside of this time before my first apneoa and the S9 / ResSca...

Re: nasal pillow
It's a personal thing, some people get on with nasal pillows vs a half face or full face mask and some don't. Personally I have difficulty due to the directed pressure into the nose and can only use them about 60% of the time. If I'm congested then it's a no-go.

Re: What do you do with your old machines?
Thanks everyone. I'll see if there are anyone in need of used machines and see about local hospitals / clinics, I'm in the UK so Awake in America probably isn't an option for me.

Re: By dose! Id is addoying be!
Bart, I get exactly the same thing. Not sure if it's the onset of becoming tired but I do like a nice cold drink before going to bed and that sometimes makes it worse. The best thing I've found if you always use a Humidifier on your is a drop or two of Olbas Oil or some other menthal into the water ...

Re: New SWIFT FX--ANYONE using it yet?
I have tried the Swift FX for a couple of weeks but I'm still having difficulty getting used to the pressure. With the old Swift I couldn't tolerate it for more than 3 hours and had to rip off the mask and replace with my Activa, but with the new Swift FX I can tolerate it all night long. The only d...

Re: S9 first night comments and setup screwup
I too am really loving the S9. It's so much better in terms of operating noise and hose noise compared with the S8. I have S8's with the Humidifier but never really used the humidifier much but on the S9 I use it every night. The S9 is such a leap forward both in technology and design, I'm really am...

What do you do with your old machines?
Hi Everyone, I'm a long term surfer of the forum, and wondered what everyone does with their old machines when they upgrade their machines? I now have 3x machines, I usually use 1x permanently at home and 1x for travelling so I don't have to unplug the machine (as I have spares) but as I pay for my ...

Re: S9 Autoset vs. M-Series Pro - AUDIO SMACKDOWN
Hi Guys, On the audio whistling on the S9 when exhaling, I'm also hearing the same thing. It is kinda disconcerting to start with especially seeing that the S8 as many have suggested is very silent. It's something you get used to, I almost think it sounds like somebody wheezing when you exhale. At f...
